PRODUCTION WEEK 2 SUPPORT GROUP
Great news! Congrats. we'll expect some pics posted (after you're done motoring for the day, of course).
Just spoke to my MA. He said the vehicle has cleared the VDC and is on its way to the dealership. I was told that if they are able to order and install all accessories by tmw., I'll be able to pick it up on Saturday. Yay!!! Let's hope that everything is in good shape on the vehicle.

Ah the price of style... of course you'll have a full write-up and pix - right
Got my insurance cards! I'm 100x more excited now because I have proof of insurance for a car I don't even have yet lol. Dropping off the check for the car today after work, then all I have to do is show up, and pick it up when it's ready!
Hey, I was wondering if anyone here has a car coming through South Carolina, and if so, if that had any updates on the ship (Freedom)? I tried checking the AISLive website won't let me view any closer than the world view
Guys, still not 100% sure about picking it up this Saturday. Any idea if the weather is supposed to be bad in the Northeast this weekend?
Also, for the rest of you waiting...our cars should now say "At Distribution Center" on the owner's lounge tracking site. If you go over to "Review Your order detail" it should also have an estimated delivery date. Mine says estimated delivery date of 1/26/08.

I'm supposed to be hearing back from my MA within the next hour...might be able to pick my car up this afternoon!
Tips: Bring a camera, and try and look it over REALLY carefully for anything that might be not what you were expecting. Once you leave the lot it's hard to bring that stuff up. It's really easy to overlook things in all the excitement of getting your new car too.
EDIT: The camera is for fun! Take some pics of your new car, have your MA take pics of you with your new car!

Yup, I have a checklist, not going for any extras. My insurance covers all that stuff. Tires are getting swapped off for snows on monday, so no need for any tire stuff either. I'm paying what they told me the car would be after tax, title, and registration, that's it.
Checklist includes:
Tires/Wheels
Paint - Dings, dents, scratches, repairs
Moldings - All sealed nicely, no gaps or weirdness
Glass/mirrors - no scratches or imperfections
Options - Make sure EVERY option I ordered is accounted for and works!
A few random other things but those are the major points.

You and I ordered the Aero package. I'm curious to see what it looks like on your car and want to get your opinion of it. Please post pictures! Exciting times!
Got it!!@!!!!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!! Well worth the wait! No pics yet though :( man oh man....I don't regret a single option and this thing is a blast! Going back out driving! Sorry not trying to rub it in...but man oh man!
Congratulations, Colin!!!
But I don't understand. You sound so underwhelmed ...
Bet it is sweet.
Got your sleeping bag set in there yet?
What is the break-in period -- how long and what restrictions - mph/rpm?

SOO--O-O-O-O-O BEAUTIFUL.
I almost got BRG, but the MA said it was even darker for 2008. Yours is gorgeous and looks so good in its element. Kind of makes me homesick for Connecticut when I see the trees and your house.
But back to topic, congrats on a beautiful new baby. Enjoy!!
My Clubby is still at sea.

Lol, I do like the NE a lot...anyways. Thanks for the compliment! Yeah I love the darker BRG. The factory Aerokit looks freaken awesome too...i'm not sure i'm even going to paint the arches like i planned. The semi gloss black arches and dark BRG body contrast nicely. The pics don't show the kit very well...lighting wasn't so great it was overcast this morning. Also for those of you on the fence about the Leatherette, the center sections feel just like real leather, look like real leather, and then the bolsters are a cool perforated mesh type stuff that is awesome too! Looks very sporty and holds your butt well. The brushed aluminum dash is sweet as well, the interior mood lighting reflects off of it nicely. Didn't get an armrest, won't be getting one either. It'd just be in the way for shifting with me and my lanky arms lol. Mine has the secret compartment in the dash too...i know some people say it's hit and miss whether you get that or not.
Wow! Your car looks amazing. The BRG with white is very sharp. Like the stripes. They really set it off. Agree w/ you on the arches. Personally, I think black arches look good.
Inside shot is great. Alloy was a key choice.
I wouldn't change a thing either.
Hope you're taking a "quick" ride for some milk. Thinking Route 9 N through Bolton Landing up to the Hague. Great milk up there.

Lol, yeah...milk...i need something that doesn't need to be refrigerated so i can be gone even longer!
On a side note, the salesman offered me the extra packages but straight out told me not to bother....and if I change my mind about the maintenence one I can always buy it later. But once that expires i'll just do my own maintenence no big deal. I work at an autoparts store so i can get the parts at a good discount anyways...filters, pads, rotors...that kind of stuff. Took about an hour all in all to show up, sign the rest of the paperwork, he got in the car with me and walked me through everything, then i was outta there!

Thanks for the pics Colin, I'll post mine later today. I'm picking it up at 4pm, so by the time I take the shots it might be dark. Fortunately the weather is not bad here so my baby doesn't have to see snow on the first day.
russr...Thats rough.
ColinMc...Very cool car. I bet you've found an empty parking lot by now for a little handbrake turn action on that snow!
As for me: I'll be picking up the MINI in TWO WEEKS! AGGGHHHHH!!!!!
