Wow!! Looks like you got quite the package! I wish I could have afforded a few more things but oh well!! I test drove an automatic and really liked it, but something about getting an S made me get a manual. Now I have 6 weeks to get better at driving one!

I haven't but I still have a 3 day or so wait for my production number. As soon as I can get in I will post! I do know in the meantime you can call 1866askmini to get more info.

I have, but it's also known to be a bit behind the 866-ASK-MINI. With that said I think you need a production number or VIN to do the ASK-MINI, and if you have either one, you should be able to get into the owner's lounge.

You'll need a VIN or production number to get anything out of ASKMINI or to get signed up for the OL.

I have been on the owners lounge, but nothing fun to report. It just says that my car is on order.

mystfynyou - Thanks! I've waited a while for this and with it being my first car I really want it to be as close to perfection as possible. I actually thought about getting the manual but my being SO horrible at driving one combined with the fact that the automatic in the MINI is pretty much top notch made me decide to go ahead with it :-P

minikimme - Lol, yea it's quite nice to see indeed. I was actually embarrassed ordering it on such a small car at first, but on my campus we just about ALWAYS have to parallel park and visibility out that back window can be challenging at times! Hahaha

We should start our own club. They seem to have clubs for everything...blue mini club, Red mini club. Why not Minis with Pdc club. LOL
On our first outing we could drive through the countryside backwards!

I wish I had thought about PDC, I sure need it! I am terrible at backing up! That little rear window isn't going to help! Only 2 more days and I should have my production number! I can't believe it hasn't even been a week since I made the order-it feels like it has been a lifetime!!

By the way, quite a few people order the PDC option. If you ordered the NAV the interface is enhanced considerably.

Birdman has posted pics showing his PDC combined with the NAV unit. You can see the pics here.

You'll get a VIN number in the OL right around the time it starts production.

The best way to find out is to ask your MA. It depends on which dealership you ordered it from and where you live. Each dealership is alloted so many build slots per month. They may have a waiting list (mine did). If there isn't a waiting list and they have the available build slot and you live on the East coast of the US, you can probably expect to get your Mini in about a month or less. If you live on the West coast, and their is a waiting list, it can be as much as 3 months or more. Oh, I should also add, that the week that your Mini is scheduled to be completed is what determines the build week, not when it is started to be built.

By the time I take delivery on mine, it will be just under 3 months from the time I placed my order. Your MA should give a production number shortly after you sign off on the final build sheet. Once you have this number you can register in the OL (owners lounge) on MiniUSA.com and you can also use the production order number to get information from 866 ASK MINI.

Once again, the best way to find out initial information on your order is your MA.

Good luck!!

Thanks to all those on NAM that have unknowningly assited me with my configuation decisions . This forum is an excellent source of information. I have my production number and my MA says I am a week 32 build. I look forward to sharing the wait :impatient with all of my week 32 brothers and sisters.

I am already over budget but still debating since we have not gone into production yet if I want to add the antracite headliner and the chrome exterior package and the folding mirrors? Also trying to deceide between the gotham grey or the other stock dark color.

Budget? Whats that? The way I look at it is If you are spending 25 to 30K what is an extra $600 to $800. Get what you want or delay the purchase until you can save the extra money. I would get what you want at the time of order because some of the items are tough to change or add later.

Exactly. If I'm going into debt, making payments, etc; I'd rather spend more now, make the payment a little more, or stretch the payments out longer and get exactly what I want. I had to wait about 3 weeks from the time I got on the list at my dealer until the car got ordered. In that time, I added a couple options, one being the Nav, which is ridiculessly expensive for a nav system, but I weighed the options and went for it.

I wouldn't want to wait for weeks or months, pick up my dream Mini and then think, why didn't I spend a little more $ for this or that.

Go for it...
