I just spoke to someone, I was told that the tracking system has been down and I should try again tomorrow. What horrible luck... sigh.. getting pushed back a week is going to be such a hassle.

Looks like I am a week 32er as well.

My baby is scheduled to enter this cruel world on the 8th or before. I called earlier this morning before the computers went down and was told that he/she (I opted not to be told which when we had the ultrasound) was entering the paint shop today!

Endineerd,

As Tharkun already mentioned, the production capacity of the Oxford plant is over 4,000 units per week. So even though our cars may not be close together on on the assembly line, I consider it an honor (and very cool) to be able to share the Mini experience with you and the rest of the NAM family.

I received some good news today. According to "ASK Mini" my Dark Silver MCSa is in the paint shop and soon to be heading over to the assembly section. They even moved up my completion date to August 9, 2007.

You folks in the States sure are lucky. Us Military people dtationed in Germany cany participate in 1886askmini. We never know the staus, just that it is "supposed" to be in production. My MA did say that I should pick up the new ride in week 34.

wow.. after all that and my MA originally saying that I was confirmed for week 32, I was pushed to week 35. After she gave me a bit of the run around and never admitted to telling me anything, I went with another dealer, got week 34 and a very small discount. Although I hope to see none of you there, I"ll be making a week 34 support group.

I also found out good news so far; that my mcs completed paint yesterday and that it was going to be fully assembled today. Heres to all of the other 32nd weekers waiting for their mini. Cheers.

Hey at least you get the car earlier than we do. Ours have to travel quite the distance to get here. If you had a choice which would you prefer, earlier car or tracking ability?

Are the dealers not trustworthy there? Yah, not sure why people are getting pushed, but so far it's only been 2 or 3. I was initially pushed 3, but the others were only about 1.

Ya I realized that I got mixed up in the number that indicated my vehicle status, which read 50 planned for production my bad. But that's cool because now I'll be able to get updates vicariously through all of my American friends here who have access to Askmini and the Owners Lounge.

Cheers

Just called and I'm sitting in the body shop, evidently. Should be headed for the paint area sometime tomorrow, they thought. Found out that it actually entered production on 8/3/07, so I'll have to change her birthdate as I thought it was the 6th.

Originally scheduled for week 33, however, car was going through painting yesterday (as per my MA). Today, the car shows as scheduled for production with a VIN number assigned. So, I assume that the car will be assembled by week's end. Nice!

When is the next boat departing for the states?

That's a great question, Zorg. Does anyone know the answer to that?

I just called and mine is in the paint shop. Slowly working her way through!

Just called ASK-MINI and found out mine is finished and awaiting transport!

So far it's moving a little faster than I thought. This gives me some survivor guilt for everyone pushed back/waiting longer. Sorry guys!

If the first ship is leaving Monday, there is a chance mine will be on it...holy crap I was trying to relax about waiting for this car all week, now I am excited again. I know it's got at least another month to come in, though

She's supposed to be built up by Monday. Maybe she'll make the Monday departure.

My baby just got a booking on the TAGUS this AM! I was afraid it would have to wait until the 20th when the next ship was scheduled according to the WW website yesterday. Also the departure date for the TAGUS has been moved to the 12th - so if you can get your MINI's to hurry up we'll hold the door open for you! PUSH... PUSH...

*Crossing fingers* I hope we all can make that 12th departure date!! I know I'm gonna be calling every couple hours hoping for the "awaiting transport" message. Gah!
