[QUOTE=EUROKOKE;1672088]Has anyone from Germany received their VIN# yet from the dealer? Our production numbers wont let us into the owners lounge......

Hi Eurokoke, sorry I am just barely replying....I have not received my Vin# from the dealer either. I think us Germany people are left out of the loop. As soon as I get mine I will let ya know.

GOT MY VIN

Holy smokes,

That wasn't too bad after all. I got may VIN and have an estimated delivery for week 34. I feel bad for the folks across the big pond that have to wait two additional weeks to get their babies......

Wow that sucks, They told me that I should be expecting my mini sometime in the middle of September. But I'm not getting my hopes up. These things never go as smoothly as promised, which is why I can never understand why they always promise such an early date.

Well I just called ask mini and to my utter disappointment, they said that my MCS would be in production week 33. That totally sucks, but at least it is only one week difference. I guess it looks like I will have to go start up a week 33 support group now.

Just so you all know, I am pissed....but.....I wasn't really expecting my MCS to get here before the end of September anyway so I guess in the end it will all work out. I will keep my eye on this thread so post when you get your MC, or MCS! And good luck!

Masterd78...I too am now in week 33. I guess we should be thankful
that it is just a week later and not a month later. Knock on wood.
BTW, I think there may be a week 33 support group already.

Hey demapples it seems I'm in the same day of completion as you! From my order status it's showing that there are 50 cars planned for production for this week so I guess the oxford throughput is about 7-8 cars per day so the odds of our cars being side by side is about 1 in 7.

Just got off the phone with ASK-MINI. I have a VIN and my car is in production right now.

Booya!

Mine is getting spritzed with Pepper White paint as we speak. Status code 155. :-) Scheduled to be completed tomorrow.. I'm assuming it will be a few more days for it to get assembled and through QC.

The Oxford plant actually produces a little over 4,000 cars per week. As for which shipping lines your Mini will be on depends on your location, west coast deliveries are all on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines (WW). You can find tracking information at the link below. Hope your wait time goes quickly.

Hey guys - How do you know exactly where in the production line your MINI is (e.g., being spritzed with paint)? Would love to follow this closely.....

Thanks!

another pushed back to production week 33. well, after it is built, it'll sit a week or 2 on the dock in Europe, then it has to go through the Panama Canal so it's gonna take forever anyway once it gets on a boat.. then it will take at least another week or 2 to do the aerokit install once it lands on the left coast.. then trucking to Long Beach... I figure I'll see it in 2009 or so

I'm hearing that 1-866-ASK-MINI will tell you the most up-to-date details. Mine is in the paint shop, according to that number

How does everyone get a status code, though? The automated message at ASK-MINI doesn't seem to give that out.

Are there any Canadians here? Because the powers at be have decided that Canada isn't an important enough market to provide Canadians access to the owners lounge making it impossible to track their cars progress. I've tried using the USA site but it doesn't recognize my cars VIN or Production number. I guess because it's a metric number

Thanks girlcavity! When I call that number I just hear "scheduled for production with completion scheduled for Aug. 10th." Perhaps that means it isn't far enough along to have a status code? I have no idea how you get the "status code" - maybe someone in the know will help us out.

Engineerd - wish I could help you! I'm *almost* in Canada. Sitting here in northern Washington. I guess that is *just* far enough south....
