BBS RG-F - opinions, experience, recs.?

I'm going to check out perryt's RG-F's on sunday, what do you guys think of these wheels? I've been looking at wheels since I got my MCS over a year ago, and these are the only ones that make me grin a lot. I never wanted to take the plunge on new ones, but these are used and a little cheaper.

So, do we have any pics? Opinions? I think I remember seeing 1 member with these rims on the "show me your wheels" thread.

I'm very attracted to them for these reasons:
BBS
Red center cap
16 in
LIGHT
Classic style - love it, but hate to clean it

Beautiful wheels and very high quality to boot. Not bad price for forged (new). Offset (+35) is a bit off range though; therefore not a perfect fit and may require fender mods. The same wheel in 15" has a +42 offset, is more than 2 lbs. lighter, and is a lot cheaper in price (new).

Even in 16in. as opposed to 17in.?

mb

Edit - duh, stupid question, the diameter all around will remain the same, sorry. My real question was, have you used the RG-F's and had them rub? Thanks.

Somebody's got their BBS nomenclature messed up.

If you're really talking about the RG-Fs (red centre caps), then these are only available in 16" and 15" (the RG-Rs are available in 17", and up). As stated previously, the 16" RG-Fs have a MINI-unfriendly offset of +35 (2mm more towards the fender than the RG-R and the OZ Superleggera, both of which are pretty aggressive fitments for the MINI and borderline if you want to lower and/or fit wider tyres).

I love the RG-Fs, and mulled over buying the 15" ones (wouldn't risk the 16"s because of offset). In the end, I decided the 15" ones looked a little too small

I'd also like some of the wheel/tire gurus to check in on 16 in. RGFs. Those are the only wheels that would tempt me to go up from my 15" holeys, but I'm wondering about the 35mm offset. I'd stay with 195/55/16 tires, and doubt I'd have clearance issues, but I'm wondering about the affect on wheel bearings, etc. anyone????

You have RG-Vs, not RG-Fs. Not the same wheel.

nothing unfriendly about them, unless you are afraid of 5 minutes with a demel tool. mine had the H&R lowering springs and the 5 minutes solved the slight rubbing issue.
sold the wheels ( sold the car), but it was without a doubt the best upgrade I did. besides, they look amazing on the car.
the 17" are on the car for marketing, not pefromance.
