Alex, does tire rack carry these for the mini. I saw a pic over on the mini2 site. Very nice. How do these spec out compared to the original RK wheels I understand they are 17x7.5. How much do they weigh..and how much more are they than the original rk's?

I have the 17x7.5 ET 35 RKII, its 21.5 lbs a wheel as opposed to 17.5 on the 1 piece design. I am checking into the logistics of using this wheel on Mini.

Exactly.

So agressive I wont normally sell it. Its 7mm outboard of what I would use. VERY AGRESSIVE - will require major fender shaving.

I can sell it to you, but I can't make my "guaranteed fitment" claim on this wheel.

Let me know

GRRRRRR, I really want to get BBS wheels, I like to RK's but they won't clear the stoptech's without spacers...I have never had good luck with spacers.

Yeah I was really hoping to fit some BBS's on my MINI. I have a set of 16x7 BBS RK's for my Miata. I was hoping to use them but the Tirerack said it's a no go. They share the same bolt pattern but something else is off I guess. I looked at the sticky posts above and can't quite tell what the correct offset is for the MINI with the 16" 5 spokes.

I my ultimate goal is to shed some poundage! The 16" 5-Spokes weigh in at 21.5 lbs. The BBS RKs only 15 lbs. (I think). Take the run flats off and go with a 205/50-16 S-03 and that would save some serious weight.

Does anyone know why the 16" BBS RKs don't fit?

it's probably just an offset issue. i assume the RKs use centering rings for your Miata too? You can get new centering rings no problem. but you need to figure out the offsets of the wheels. it might be stamped on the inside or attached with a sticker. you need something between 40-50. though some people are running as low as 35mm (which i think is too low, but it will mostly work).

Exactly, your Miata wheels are 16x7 et 35. Wich is about 10mm more agressive than I would go. I am having it looked into for you.
