i personally have always been a fan of the 100-spoke "black caddy" rims.

but all i see is the 5 star-bar design and that original 4-+ type.

OMG are you gonna put some daytons on a MINI Its a joke right? You should put some air bags and a chain steering wheel too, make it into a MINI lowrider

i don't see how you can necessarily call it fluff. this is just pure curiosity.

i am not trying to aggravate people or anything to the sort, so i don't see how you can say that.

If you are seriously interested in some 100 spoke wheels more power to you. That's just a much a part of motoring as SSR competitions. Let's get this thread back on track and find you some wheels like you want. Thanks

I believe you should do what you want to your car....

But there's probably a reason you can't find them. Was that polite?

I have cleaned a bit up in this thread. I know nothing about wire wheel fitments.
here is a link to the most well know wire wheel company.

http://www.daytonwirewheels.com/index1.shtml

I called tires.com, as they sell Dayton. Aside from the fact that they didn't know the bolt pattern , they did say most FWD Daytons should fit. I hope this helps

There is a dealer locator on their cite!

I'd kill to have a mid 70's Eldorado convertible with a 500 cubic inch engine in the driveway with those wheels...

And I'm pretty sure there are some fine examples of lowriders in the Smithsonian in D.C.

I say go for it. The MINI has lots of chrome goodies, and those wheels are better than some of the other chrome offerings out there.

I think daytons are cool, on a classic impala or something but not a MINI. My cousin has a classic impala that was just restored and hes planning on putting some of those wheels on it. Its gonna looks sweet!

This post just reminded me of what some guy said to me. I was at a gas station one day and this Hispanic dude came up to me and said "Hey man you should put some daytons on that!" I was like "Riiiiiiiiight" then I laughed at the man and drove off.

And Ryan is right, dont get sucked in by xzibits post. He hates all that is old!

geez, i have had the name xzibbit99 since 1999! lol.

i mean, yall can not like me for wanting something like "Daytons". that's just my preference.

but frankly, flaming me is not really coasure, considering i NEVER flame anyone. besides, if you think my posts are stupid, just PM me or just don't respond.

also, alex@tirerack, thanks so much for your assistance in finding some rims like that =)

much abliged

Ant becareful cause I wanted to do the same thing but as I thought more I was afraid that it would flip over and get stuck on its roof. Like an upside down turtle trying to get right side up.

I tried to find some info on making hydraulic suspension bounce for the MINI but didn't get too far.

I did find "the building of LowLife"- and interesting article about a unique experiment of sorts.

I am not mensioning this with any current knowledge, but I think that Mini would be a great candidate for Bridgestone to tackle with their brand new Praxis system. Infact I will go suggest that to the Praxis engineer right now. No bouncing, but is ride heght adjustable!

any idea how much the praxis system will cost? will it replace the shocks like an airbag system and need its own reservoir/ tank or is it mechanical?
