oil pressure light after oil change

I know what you thinking, search! But read me out.
I changed the oil on the car and since then I have had the oil light in some sort of fashion. Here is the sequence of events.
  1. Drained oil,
  2. Removed filter - noticed black piece of plastic(Drain back plunger) floating in assembly.
  3. The plunger seemed damaged and was, The 3 prongs were missing and so was the outer spring. Guessing PO's shop is to thanks for that.
  4. Researched
  5. Bought Ford power stroke part( 904-261) which I have read has been used with success.
  6. Installed plunger, Fumoto Valve and new MAN oil filter.
  7. Filled with oil, Mobil-1 5w-30 full synthetic for high mileage vehicles.
  8. Started and had a light come on. Stayed on throughout the rpm range.
  9. Removed filter and the plunger was not seated properly. Re-seated it making sure it is in there good. Installed oil filter.
  10. Started it, no oil light- Yay!
  11. Drove car and the oil light came on once the car was at operating temp. Light would go out when the rpm was above 1300-ish or if the car is cold.
  12. Ordered factory oil filters from Way.
  13. Replaced filter.
  14. Same results as step 11.
At this point I am not sure what is next? In some of the post I have read, if you use 904-261 you have to use the old outer spring? If so, why do some of the vendors here sell it as is?
Any thoughts or help appreciated

I broke my black spring valve plastic when I first got my mini.

Buy an oil filter housing with gasket, and replace the housing.

i might remember to post a picture of it tonight after work.

the black peice by its self is strictly not serviceable .

Ok,
Went to the junk yard and got a drain back plunger that was in better shape than the one that came out of my housing. Only the 3 clips on the longer tabs were broken off but got it installed. No more light in any rpm range. So I am guessing the replacement drain back plunger( Dorman 904-261) is not a replacement part. I modeled the mini plunger up and will be printing some here in the future. I have also been looking at the springs, the outer one can be sourced but can only find similar springs to the inner spring.

Cheers

You are a savage. Can we reuse the old spring?

Just today Outmotoring.com claims to have the plunger back in stock.

Yeah you can. The PO lost the outer spring so I was looking at the potential replacement options

When I needed it last week, I emailed someone there asking about it, still waiting for a response. I will print some and have it ready for next time.

Changed the oil again. The junk yard plunger also disintegrated. I t appears only to be the outer piece. At least both of my previous outer pieces broke. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, I modeled the plunger and printed some pieces. Seeing that the inner section was still good, I reused it and the springs with the part I printed. The printed part snapped right in and all is good so far. If you would like the STL file, PM me and I pass it along.

Please, friend, I can't find the part and it's the only thing I'm missing to rebuild my R52.

I will have a look for the files. I did have one of my PC's go down and I lost a bunch of things.
