very rough idle, limp mode and a P1125 my car hates me

I was driving to target earlier tonight and my service engine light came on. It was throwing a code P0171, ok. I leave target and the light is still on. About a mile away from my house I give the car gas and it just lost power (i think this is the dreaded Limp mode) I could only get the car up to around 10 mph and the gas pedal wouldnt do to much. It would only raise the RMPs to around 2100 or so.. i'm not sure i was a little busy trying to avoid traffic. When I got to the apartment, the car was idling very rough. almost light it was missfiring on a cylinder. It was doing this around 850 rpm or so. I turned off the car and restarted. the car wouldnt stay running unless I gave it gas. then it would go back into that rough idle...
I've read that this may be a bad spark plug, the plastic air inlet that is connected to the supercharger may be cracked.. or the throttle body could be bad...
Anybody have any ideas? or Live near burbank that would have the time to possible come check it out with me?? I just moved to Burbank and really dont know where any good garages are... boo!

thanks for the help and feedback!

ok well I tried to reset the ecu by leaving the battery unplugged for a few hours (not sure if the time matters)
Now I get two codes. the P1125, and now its paired with P0638
I havent found what P0638 is yet.. but any code is no good....
ah... so frustrating

Thanks Jan! I'm going to give him a call tomorrow since today is thanksgiving

So this morning I went out and checked everything. The belt is fine, i checked all the spark plugs etc... nothing seems out of place. The car was running really rough, and it would rev up and down between 1200-1800.. so i turned the car off.. looked around and cranked it again.. it was a little bit better... so i did the same. I turned the car off and turned it back on...
Everytime I did this it got a little better... untill the car is running like normal again...

Do you think this could be bad gas? or something was clogged???
I'm going to go grab some injector cleaner and dump it in the tank to see if that helps. and drive around all day to make sure everything is running ok....
hmmm
MINI's have a mind of their own sometimes..

well I was on the way to autozone. and i noticed a delayed reaction from the throttle body. also I heard the throttle body suck in air as if i pressed the gas a few times.. only i didnt press the gas. so I think it is the throttle body freaking out on me...hmmm

FOUND THE PROBLEM!

So a few months ago I had an engine management unit installed. There was a wire that was connected to monitor the TPS. Well it turns out that when the unit was removed it left the wire nicked, and that wire was never repaired all the way. So I fixed the wire and now everything is back to normal. No codes. and I even have a little better throttle response haha.
anyway I'm really happy that it wasnt the throttle body and that I didnt have to replace the harness!.
thanks for all the help!

Code P1125

I am having the same problem intermitantly. The computer goes into lock out mode about once every 400-500 miles. I checked all the connections to the accelerator, throttle body, computer, and changed the throttle body. I thought I had it but its back. Does anyone know where to get a good service manual? I want to check voltages and see if theres a way to calibrate the throttle body.
