this morning on the 91 west to the 241 toll roads, spoted a CR convertible with white bonnet stripes and she waved back!!! but i knew she would, she had a scmm sticker on her side window!

 

I saw some lady today that waved back, in a blue MINI on the 60....west? I think

 

This morning right before i got to work, (on comerce in irvine), a CR cooper s was coming in my derection, is i flashed him twice with my head lights and they flashed me back

There was some kind of white design on thier front fender too

 

Saw a Dark Silver '05 MCS in my rear veiw mirror on chandler near van nuys. We were both driving a little crazy but he caught up and we chatted about parts and stuff and said i should head out to malibu to hang out with some mini cooper guys. We both peaced out after having a little non-serious race on an open street. sweet stuff.

i saw literally 3 r53's pw/b at the same time on my way to work today. It was on jefferson blvd in culver city. 2 on the road and 1 parked.

 

Had a couple of non-wavers on the way home today. An IB/W R53 on the NB 605 and then a R/B R50 on La Palma. The Cooper had some cool flames on the side and the hood. The young driver was too busy leaning forward to notice acknowledge another MINI.

I usually am northbound on the SGR Freeway between Beer-thirty and 5 O'Clock Somewhere.

 

So I was stretching looking out my office Window on the 4th floor at 7:45am onto the 5 fwy I noticed an Electric Blue MCS??? I think... it was electric blue with a Black Roof going North Bound on the 5 fwy.

My office is the Banco Popular building between the Harbor and Lincoln exits in Anaheim.

If that was you... Nice color combo, while you were driving by, I commented to the people in the office... NICE MINI!

Ok, this might not be a MINI sighting, though I spied a very cute lady with a great smile and wave yesterday in a Dark Gray Rag Top on the 405, but relevant for us 405 drivers.

Yesterday evening:

It's not very often when you see not one, but two MINIs the same parking lot in these here parts. Specifically, the Claim Jumper parking lot in San Bernardino.

One was a ChiliRed beauty with either white or chrome boot/bonnet stripes. The plate says MCE ESQ, which I know I've seen somewhere before but can't place it. My friend was laughing hysterically and said I was acting like a little kid in a candy store as I ran back to my car to get a WCM spotter card...

So when I saw another PS/B only two rows away, I tried not to get all excited again and pay more attention to the lady friend than the MINIs.

Oh what fun!

 

Juan - I took the 605N 'cause the 405S was at walking speed since I got on back at Cherry. Turns out there was a multiple car accident at Beach.

I'll have to take that route more though, if it means the chance to see ya!

 

My son and I keep seeing a CR with bonnet stripes heading north on Golden Lantern as we head south - never a wave back though (probably dealing with the heavier traffic on that side of the road....).

 

I think I've seen that same one (I live in Dana Point), but if it is the same one, we waved at each other on Selva Rd. as we were going opposite directions. Try sticking your waving hand Waaaayyyy out there

 

I see quite a few MC and MCS in my area, and I usually (unless im preoccupied) give a wave, flash my lights, honk or something to show I notice them and i NEVER get anything back, just a glare, like a "why is that guy waving at me? I don't know him" kinda looks. Kinda depressing

 

Not getting waves all that often makes each one I get even more exciting. (At least that's how I look at it.)

This evening on the 10E, saw a black S coming from behind me. He looks at me, I look at him, NO WAVE. So I put my hands up, sort of gesturing "WHAT?!". I guess he must have seen me, because he puts his fist up through the sunroof. I give him a wave back. Hope that wasn't a fist of anger?!

 

The ""WHAT?" Gesture"-- I'm going to have to try that!

i went to costco in lawndale today, looking for parking, spottted one open spot
guess what i parked next to? another PW MCS! heh heh heh, that was cool
i also see some minis on a regular basis in the el camino college parking lot:
CR/B, CR/W, PW/B i think they're all MC's except for the CR/W

 

I flashed a DS/B with black stirpe on drivers side and he flashed back. Barranca and irvine center

 

I was on Gale in City Of Industry around the Toys R Us area and a PS/B MCS I remember with bonnet stripes waved to me, I waved back, had Crevier dealer plates in the front not sure about the plates on the boot. Looked like R90 wheels, not sure, but nice MINI!
