Bummer Earl......you gotta be more careful.....seems there are a lot more officers on the streets these days - at least - I've noticed a lot more especially since school ended.

I spotted from the Coaster, a DS (I think) maybe a PS that was stopped on the 5 going north the other morning.

I don't think it is that they are not MINI friendly, just that when the radar goes off they look up and see my LY/B MINI and assume "that's the car that going fastest" because everything else out there is so DULL gray, tan, silver, beige, etc.

Earl, I know what you mean about those boring gray and silver cars. We had a silver colored Volvo S60 for 6 months or so. I had to stop driving it. I kept losing it in parking lots. And I always know where my car is parked.

Ah, but LY, that's an attention getter! In some cases, the wrong kind of attention. My car was originally ordered as LY/LY, but then I realized I've never been ticketed in my big white truck. So I changed to PW/PW, thinking maybe a lil white MINI would have the same luck.

And today, driving thru Rancho Santa Fe I saw another PW MINI! Headed in the opposite direction, both of us going around a hard turn (me right, he left), we both managed a big smile and thru the sunroof wave. It was kinda like seeing my car in a mirror.

Dark Silver / White Roof / White V-spokes

 

Dark Silver/W MCS- northbound fast lane (ha, ha, that's a misnomer) on 405 between 105 and Marina Frwy. License plate read "CKPRGO"

 

Tonight:

- Red / White COOPER with silver 5-stars (IIRC ) near the elevator
- Red / White COOPER in the corner with USC license plate holder
- Indi Blue / White COOPER with silver holies
- Black / White COOPER with 8-spokes in the corner where the ramp heads up to P1
- Electric Blue / Black COOPER S with Silver S-lites on the ramp between P1 and P2
- Dark Silver / White COOPER S with white V-spokes on the far wall near the P2 elevator (mine)

Yesterday - Sunday - in the parking lot at the San Juan Capistrano train station - an EB/W S with personalized plates "USSA"....we saw ya...

This evening about 5:00 pm - spotted an EB/W S getting on to the 5 North around the Mission Bay area...you around?:smile:

I had my MINI in for service today and rented a big ugly grey Mitsubishi Sedan. Out of habit, I was waving at all the MINIs I saw on the road. The funny thing is, I got more reaction than I normally do when I am in my MINI! So if you saw a crazy guy in a Mitsu today, it was me.

And for the very friendly and pretty girl in the yellow S in Huntington Beach, How You Doin'?
