Yup, 10AM is it. I'm gonna try to get there earlier, though.

Within three minutes of each other, I saw two MINIs that look almost exactly like mine in Huntington Beach yesterday. One was on the 405 fwy and another on Warner Ave. Chili Red, white top, bonnet stripes.

I saw OctaneGuy going up Altadena Drive in Altadena last night at about 7:40. That's a bit out of your way.

HAHAHA OMG!!! I've been spotted!!! Where were you??? I didn't see any other MINI's. Yeah my inlaws are in Alhambra (since the birth of my son, 3 months ago, we go there for dinner), and I had a tough day, so I decided to go for a drive, and the next thing I knew I was in Altadena and enjoying some beautiful scenary!! I gotta go back and explore some more!

We were in our truck, so you wouldn't have seen us. The road to Chantry Flats would be a nice quick run out of Sierra Madre/Arcadia, but I think it's still closed. The road to Millard campground is fun in Altadena, but it is very short. Of course Angeles Crest is right next door.

Cool, thanks for the tip. Hmm, I didn't realize Angeles Crest was nearby. As long as I 've lived in CA, and I've owned my MINI, I still haven't gone out yet. LOL

MINI Caravan Spotted!

MINI Caravan Spotted!

This morning on Admirality Way in Marina Del Rey- I caught up with mini MINI Caravan of 3 MINI Cabrios (Orange, Black, and a Green S!) They seemed to be escorting a camouflaged BMW test car - I think it was either the new 3 series or possibly the 4 (4 doors but not a 5 series) - it was pretty awesome - I fell in line and drove with them for a bit- when I pulled off they all waved- seemed like a good bunch-

Oh - and the test car looked cool- much less "bangle" - with a nicer trunk

I only managed to snap one crappy pic- but here it is anyway-

Anyone have any more info on this?

Saw "OB MINI" today

EB/W with OBMINI plate on I-805 this morning - that was me in the PW/B, thanks for the wave!

Also got a flash and an enthusiastic wave from a white M3 on Maryland this morning. Caught me off-guard.

 Spotted 2 from the train this morning - one around 6:25 in Leucadia - CR/W with a roof rack parked just off the 101. The other was about 2 minutes later going south on the 101 in the Cardiff by the Sea area - it was DS/B I believe. Anybody here???

Cheers!

Wow I really do exist! (my first spotting )

Yeah the show was cool as usual- I went and drooled at the various effects booths- Though I did notice far less swag being handed out than in previous years- great conference though.

BTW- I know my car is filthy- just got back from Big Bear- they have ENORMOUS birds up there!

Yeah, I have yet to be spotted, after 2 years!

The floor was a lot smaller this year. It was interesting to see such a huge presence from Apple, and such a small one from SGI. Things change. I liked the High Dynamic Range Monitor in Emerging Technologies. Can't wait to get one on my desk.

I think Mark should make some long version NAM window decals and GIVE them to us so that more SoCal MINI people join us here on NAM. I meet so many that have never heard of NAM.

Parp Parp!*

My husband and I were "Parped"* at by a fellow MINI driver today. We were in a CR/W MC, she was in a CR/W with bonnet stripes MC(S?). We passed each other on Delacy in Pasadena.

 Meant to post this the other day. At UTC Shopping Mall around 4:00 on Saturday - I saw "SLIPPY" - a very nice CR/B w/roof rack and nice chromed S-lites. You here by chance?

Also saw - yesterday - leaving the Oceanside Train Station - an IB/W w/stripes heading down the 76E around 6ish...I wasn't in the MINI but I was waving at you....

Chow!

Saw a CR/W in Baker on Saturday, license plate read CRNBRRY or something close to that. Driver was in the Country Store yealling at another customer while his child was locked in the car. They were yelling because she told himn the kid shouldn't be left in the car. It was 94 on the big thermometer outside. Funny, the CHP showed up shortly thereafter.

As an aficionado, I can tell you Slurpees are only available at 7-Eleven stores. AM/PM might have Icees or Slush Puppies or some other lackluster "competitor," but only 7-Eleven sells the sweet elixir known as Slurpee.

I did some across "frozen Coke" in Australia at Hungry Jack's (aka Burger King in the US) which is a Slurpee (same ingenious mixing machine) by another name. Like a rose, a true Slurpee by any other name does indeed taste as sweet.

Oh, and I saw a CR/CR MCS on I-5 north, getting off on Del Mar Heights Road this morning. Tried to wave, but I was over a couple lanes and was a ways ahead.
