Meant to post this last night - from the Coaster going home yesterday evening - about 5:40 - In Leucadia - heading S on the 101 - spotted a Black/checkered top - not sure if it was an S or not - just caught a quick glance. You hanging around in here???

BRG/White exiting Overland Ave from 10E around 7:30pm. My wife saw you waving (said you had a beard and not much hair on top!), and told me only after I was entering the fast lane--trying to make up for lost time from the 405 traffic jam! By the time I looked back and saw you, it was too late!

:smile: Saw a very nice IB/stripes Classic Mini today around 1:45 going south on the 5 in San Diego. Also saw an EB/B w/roof rack last night parked on the 101 on Oceanside. Anybody here???

What a day for spotting MINIs yeserday was! At about 9:45am we saw a blk/wht (MC, I think) with a Union Jack on the roof on Rancho Santa Fe road, then around noonish we saw a red/wht (MCS i think) with a Union Jack on the roof at the intersection of Rancho Santa Fe and San Marcos Blvd. Then in the evening we were over at the Cold Stone Creamery at the Forum in Carlsbad and saw an EB/Wht parked. Pretty sure I've never seen the 2 cars with Union Jacks before.

I am on vacation in Washington and saw two in Everett yesterday. One was a chili red with a union jack roof and the other was a silver Cooper. I also saw about a dozen zipping around Seattle. It made me homesick for my MINI. I tried to find a MINI car rental but ended up with a Lincoln LS. My family thinks that it is funny that I would prefer a MINI over the Lincoln. I tell them that "luxury" implies comfort and I am most comfortable behind the wheel of my S. The Lincoln feels like an ocean liner on wheels.

 

For future reference, you can rent a MINI from the Budget car rental in Marina Del Rey.

 

Cool, but I am in Seattle. I wonder if the Budget in in Seattle has a MINI.

I was followed tonight by a very nice EB/W MCS in Pacific Beach. Of course I was in my truck, not my IB/W MCS...

I need a MINI sticker of some kind for my truck. I see lots more MINIs (and Minis) when I'm driving that than when I'm in my MINI.

 

EB/W with bonnet stripes & sunroof? If so that could have been me. I'm always running around in PB (live and work there). Things are alot more fun since I passed the break-in miles!

Yesterday I saw...

An old Mini - that little woody wagon style, (what are they called?), medium blue paint and wood panels on nb 5 fwy in Irvine near Sand Canyon exit,
A Silk Green on Irvine Center Drive (around noon),
A Red/Wht on sb 5 near Oceanside (around 1pm),
A DS/DS MCS on Encinitas Blvd (around 1:45pm) sorry I didn't wave, was busy turning corner,
A BRG/Wht in Solana Bch (around 4pm),
A solid Gold parked at Fletcher Cove (around 4pm),
An EB/Wht in Cardiff-by-the-Sea (just after 4pm),
A Gold/BLK in, dang, was that in Solana Bch or Cardiff?,
And a Red/Wht with roof racks and white meatballs on doors on Rancho Santa Fe (around 4:30pm),
and this morning a LY/wht parked in front of O.P.E. Were you there for the sixth grade promotion ceremony too?

North San Diego county is rife with MINIs!

Yup, EB/W with bonnet stripes (didn't notice a sunroof). Did look very new and shiny. Were you driving down Hornblend Thursday about 7 pm then hook around and go east on Garnet? I was the white Mazda pickup in front of you.

Yesterday I saw a LY/W Cooper with bike rack, no sunroof in the Pasadena Souplantation/LA Fitness parking garage. License plate: MNIU4EA

 

My wife and I were on the intersection of Lower Azusa and Temple City Blvd. on sat. (6/19/04). She waved at your as you were taking a left turn from Temple City blvd. onto Lower Azusa. It was one of those rare times we actually see another MINI in Temple city. Who are you? Do you live in the area too?

Just spotted a CR/British Cooper on Valley View Ave/Cerritos intersection in Cypress. He gave me the finger(pointing finger) while I was sitting in my BRG/White Cooper. Didn't get a chance to wave back cus he flew by too quick, so if you're in here sorry! Don't wanna come all snobby... I live in Cypress by the way.

On the 25th ....saw a CR/W with checker board top w/b on the 79. Also saw a Gold/Black on the 371 (coming back from Palm Springs?). We were on our way to PS. Came back today (San Diego area - East County) and didn't see a single one. Where are all of you?

Today near the Embarcadero in S.D. we saw 2 all black MCS. One near the 5 fwy Washington exit ramp I think, around 1pm and shortly after a different one on Harbor & Broadway.

Donna, I'm just gonna have to go to Bully's some Friday night, so we can finally say we saw each other!
