Hey Maniac,

Glad I could help a little during your wait! I know it can be a little torturous. I got the Union Jack side scuttles added about a week ago, which aren't in the pic. I love the look of them.

I am very happy with the white silver/black stripe combination. I went back-and-forth for months on the colors. I was very close to getting the toffee interior too...I'm sure you'll love it! Post pics when you do.

Oh yeah, someone was nice enough to put a ding behind my driver side door the other day. Gonna see if I can get that pulled out. Can't believe it took less than two weeks for my first ding.

Nice looking Roadsters! Congrats

mini_w, sorry to hear about the ding. I recently watched an expert take out the dings from the inside...amazing results.

Hey Blue Toy...thanks! Right after I noticed it (and after a minute or two of cursing) I got online and looked up information about pulling out dings. Yeah, I'm hoping it can be fixed with little evidence anything ever happened.

Let us know how it goes. The work I saw was done with special tools that got at the ding from inside, while the tech used mirrors attached to the car panel to watch his progress. I was so amazed at what he did I had to walk over and examine the fixed panel with both my eyes and finger tips. It was perfect...and not terribly expensive.

Thanks Steven. I'll make sure and post some before and after pics when I get it done.

Just to follow up - this different glovebox front is only a US thing it looks like. My April build UK Roadster has the 'normal' glovebox..

Pickup on Thursday

Very nice! It's amazing how different the look is without the stripe. It's a good look, a bit more understated. Still like my stripe though!

I'm pretty sure the white-silver / toffee combination will look good. I did a compromise by ordering the black and toffee cloth-leather seats. Ideally, i would have liked the full leather toffee seats but at $2000 instead of $600 ............As i already had about $4500 of options, i wasn't ready to put another $1500 on the car since i took a 4 years lease.

As for the ding, had the same thing on my Subaru WRX and the guy repaired it from the inside in about an hour and it cost me only $170.

Thanks! I was trying to stay understated because I'm trying to drive more understated--I've always had american V8 muscle before this!

I like your combo a lot also

New Roadster

Anyone else have issue with window auto-up and auto-down not behaving properly?

Also, seem to have strange wind deflector. It's missing the plastic top. Other than that, it's been a lot of fun so far.

Auto-down works, auto-up is disabled.

The wind deflector bends in the middle, I think all you need to do is flip it up...

hope that's it with wind-deflector, I'll have to look.

Can't get auto-down to work either. Tried resetting controls and got auto-up to now work, but not down. Very strange

Thanks

Auto-down is just a quick "flick" of the switch. If you hold it for any length of time it will just go down for the length of time that you hold the switch.

Are you sure auto-up is working for you? It's disabled for everyone else as far as I know. What country are you in?

In USA, Princeton. The auto-up worked after I did one of the suggestions posted for enabling auto-up and auto down for non roadster version. It included removing the fob. The car exhibited strange window behavior after that by lowering the windows completely when I put the top back up. I'm sure auto-down isn't working. I'm going to have to go back to dealer. Not a big deal.

Just checked wind deflector - mine was flipped down. Not sure why the dealer installed it that way. Much happier now that it looks right.

Thanks!

Can you provide the link for that- I'd like to take a look.

Pretty sure that's the default setting- Mine does it too and I haven't changed anything.

That ^^, on the other hand, sounds wrong to me. I haven't seen a way to turn that off in any of the documentation.
