This looks great. It's just making me more desperate to get mine, which is on the boat from Southampton, just passing the isle of Wight (I know, I've checked the ship location 10 times already today...).

Mine looks a lot like Island Don's. I've had mine a week now, and I can barely stay out of it.

And I would post a picture, if I could figure out how.

Thanks, and congrats on moving to the production number stage! That's when I felt like things were actually moving!

Picked up my Roadster on March 19th- The only time it hasn't been raining since then is when I'm working 14 hour days. Oh, the irony! (It was 50 degrees when I took this photo):

I don't have the car yet (long story) but the dealer sent me a couple of snaps.

Good looking car Spiney. Great taste in color choice.

Looks great Irieman!! I got the while silver too, although I added the black sport stripes. Thanks for posting so I can look at one similar to mine while I wait (hopefully just about 2-3 more weeks for me). =)

Nice car, and some cool shots. What did you use to get the tilt-shift effect?

Spiney III is here!

Picked up the car today. It's 50 degrees, but I already have an hour and a half on the Openometer...

I love this thing!

EDIT: Fixed the pictures! :-)

Spiney-

Very nice. How does it drive compared with the other Mini's you've been in?

I'm still being nice to it, so I can't comment on the limits, but overall I love it. My 2003 S had the "super sport" suspension and run-flats and rattled your fillings out. Because of that experience, I got the regular suspension on my 2007 S, which was noticeably softer but still had great grip on the summer tyres.

On this car I got the sport suspension, and it's a great compromise. It's stiff enough to handle well, but isn't too harsh even on run-flats. It rolls noticeably less than the hardtops I have had, probably due to the lower CG. I'm not comparing it to my wife's Cooper Clubman, it's not fair.

I got the JCW pack which gets the electronic diff. I haven't really been able to test it yet, but it certainly digs in and goes out of the corners.

I haven't even pushed the sport button yet, but I totally love it.

Thanks! I went with the sport suspension as well...felt perfect to me. Got the elec. diff as well, glad to hear you feel the difference. It's all about getting the power down right? By the way, does manual say not to use the sport button for the first 1200 mi.? Be sure and give that new motor a healthy dose of varied rpm(not over revved). From what I've read, that is the best break in. Enjoy

Chili Red JCW at the dealer

After putting in my order on Feb. 13 and tortuously following the process (WW Topeka did not post GPS readings across the Atlantic & was 2 days late, so much anxiety), finally got word today that it's at the dealer, pickup on Friday.

MA sent the following cell phone picture:
