Darcy

Here are the first pics of Darcy.

My MA called me yesterday afternoon that she's here and I can pick her up (a day earlier than expected). I gave her a bath this morning and then we drove around for a while - the openometer says 1 1/2 hours - and took some pics along the way.

Thanks guys. Will post some more pics soon, also some of the interior (piano black and satellite gray). The ones my husband took all have my mug with a rather stupid grin in it.

And I am still debating "to stripe or not to stripe". I originally ordered the car with the regular silver stripes - the ones on the bonnet and boot. But somebody "messed up" and put the side stripes on. Not much of a mess up IMO, I am totally digging those stripes.

Anyhow, my dealer would add the other stripes at no cost if I wanted to...

I would go with the stripes.

I kind of "dig" the side stripes too, don't remember ever seeing them before! Adding the regular bonnet and boot stripes might be to much though, I think I would stay with one or the other !

+1 . Both would be a bit distracting. I really like the look you have right now. Very sleek and much more "you-ified" than your run-of-the-mill bonnet stripes. I think fate was on your side.

I'm with Gil-Galad and Jimbo on this one. If you could get stripes that kinda matched the side stripes, then that could work, but just the regular Viper stripes, I think might be a bit much. But remember too, it's your car. Love the scenery for your pictures. We can't all live in South Florida....humor there for us Iowans.

Question for anyone: Has anyone did an open-meter delete on their Roadster? Maybe some like it, but to me it's just about the most rediculous gauge that I've ever seen. A working oil pressure and temperature gauge would be much more practical. To me that is.

The only way to delete would be to get a whole new rpm gauge.. I know someone with a convertible was going to try this recently in another thread.. At least the Europeans have the option to order without it!

Very nice! The side stripes look good. I wonder if they would work even better in black, as you have black wheels and black mirror caps. Photoshop, anyone?

Congrats! I like the side stripes, that was a nice mistake.

Thanks for your input on "to stripe or not to stripe". I was actually saying what Jimbo, Gil-Galad and hemisedan pointed out. It'll look too busy with the regular / viper stripes added as well. And I do like the side stripes. They are a more unique. So I wouldn't want to have those removed.

I didn't think there was an option to delete it?

I agree that the openometer is a waste and should be replaced with a gauge the can can be useful.

^^Sweet! Congratulations. I've decided I really like the way the red lenses on the boot accent the black trim/stripes and white body color.

Enjoy the long topless motoring season out there.
