Yes it was much better with the top down. Your interior got allot of looks, with the top down on the hill. Nice meeting you too and your wife.

That event was too much fun.

Thanks

I finally got my car! Named Bugaboo, she was ordered on May 6, picked up last night (July 23). I need to get creative to live up to the images in this thread but for now...

Nice car! Especially nice interior combination, although I wouldn't look forward to keeping it clean!

We've got the same interior. It's not really that big of a deal. Just stay on top of it and it's all good. We've had ours for almost a year and it's in perfect condition.
The only part I'd wish they had done differently is to give it a contrasting dark thread. That's the only area you can't clean when it gets a little dirty. Not really noticeable unless you're like me

It's funny, I've become a bit OCD about the exterior, but the interior is lucky if I do any more than a vac twice a year when I change from summer mats to winter ones and vice versa. It must have thought it was Christmas come early last weekend, I actually took the mats out and shook them, and wiped the dash with a damp cloth!

I've purchased leather conditioner and cleaner (and a host of other things, I've never been this excited about a car). No kids, no dogs - I'm hoping we can keep it nice looking and you know, you only live once.

Ditto. Speaking of interiors, I'm having a real problem keeping my floor mat in place while driving. It always comes out of the holes at the rear of the mat. Drives me nuts.

A bit OCD with the exterior? might as well go all the way

The way I see it is that I see more the interior than the exterior so there's no reason it shouldn't get the same attention
Plus I love driving a car with an immaculate interior. It makes me feel I'm driving a new car everyday!

So when you mean the holes you mean the little velcro threaded plates that screw in the carpet floor?
You can change those if they are shot. We've had the car almost a year and they're still strong on ours.

My problem with the mats is more that whenever I try to remove the cloth ones, the Velcro patch from the back of the mat stays stuck to the things you're talking about and comes off the mat. One more time and I'm going to have to try some contact adhesive to make them stick.

Try moving the screw in Velcro pad a couple mm and reattach it ( it will still hit the mat as the mat side is bigger then the head) and screw it down again so it grabs the carpet a bit better , some people, push these down too hard and don't screw them in. Also a little trick is screw them down, then stopping right when you feel them get too tight. So you don't strip out the hole you just tapped. Then they come up with the mat. Some people don't have them at all. Got mats without them or forgot to put them in. 2 per front mat.
