Just curious...why custom leather seats rather than one of the many factory options?
Thanks for all of the greetings!
The custom leather seats were something that I wasn't expecting, and my choice wasn't based on any dissatisfaction with the standard Mini leather options. When I asked my MA about going with leather, I pushed back on the pricing. It seemed a little steep to me. He said he couldn't adjust the price of the standard option, but he had more flexibility with pricing on the custom leather. I really don't understand it, but I wasn't going to argue.
In the end I chose black seats with a sage green piping - it's a very light grey/green that accents the color of the body paint really nicely. To me, the eclipse grey body color has a greenish hint to it; when I put the piping sample against the paint it looked awesome.
Nothing radical, it will probably go unnoticed by most folks. But it'll be a little more unique, and cheaper. Win win in my book!
I'll let you all know when the stitching unravels.

Looks great! Every time my fiancée sees pictures of your car (I'm converting her to Mini), she asks why I didn't get that color. :-)

Can someone with a Roadster that has the rally lights measure them and let me know the diameter? My wife wants lights for her Roadster but not the big Hella 500s. Also are the factory or aftermarket. If aftermarket what brand?
Thanks
Thanks
My dealer-installed driving lights have a lens diameter of about 4.7 inches. With the plastic surround, overall diameter is about 5.7 inches.
Love the Lightning Blue, Spiney... I've been driving my Hyper Blue '05 MCS for 160,000 miles... I may need to continue with that blue theme.
The tiles in my garage are blue and white. Here's a low res shot, 15" winter snow tires mounted.

Good eyes, I thought it was a snow drift.........

Andy
Yup that's the passenger side mirror and those are the windshield wipers sticking up 33 inches in my neighborhood with some drifts over 5 ft
There isn't a snow tire in the planet getting my MINI out

All kidding aside, hope you guys recover quickly!-Steven
Good heavens! That's an amazing picture.
Hopefully I can get my kids to dig us out tomorrow, I have to say though I did have to bring my Grand Prix out of retirement to get to work the last few days and the old girl did I great job. An 04 with 225k and she got me back and fourth safely.
Here is my 2013 JCW Roadster, named MightyBee. MINIBee, my 2006 Cooper Convertible is still with me and now stays in a private room at a retirement facility. I take her out 1-2 times a month to play.
MightyBee was originally Chili Red and Black but I quickly gave him the Visine treatment (to get the red out). He's coming along nicely although there is still much to do. He should be in pretty good form by MOTD 11.
Coming up soon: New wheels with custom paint and yellow calipers. Also making custom side scuttles and door sills using the MightyBee logo (below) designed by my son.
