Hmmm, IMHO, don't like it. Here's why, looks too busy, and the font doesn't look like it belongs on a Mini. What about R59 S? That would be really cool. I think outmotoring.com has the letters and numbers that match the Mini font.

DON'T USE THEM!!! I had "R53" on my previous MINI for two years...car was always garaged, driven in good weather only, and the letters had all turned yellow and the chrome flaked off.....it looked disgusting!! :-(

roadster looks really nice when the top is down but so so when its close. That's where the coupe shines!

 

Hey newbie1kenobi...expecting a warm reception on the Roadster board? We love them top up or down. But they're never really supposed to have them up!

 

lol.. i actually prefer the top up to the coupe's roof and was part of my decision to buy a roadster!
