Yeah, I guess it's a pretty tight window for DTC and getting built before the shutdown. Supposedly that's where it is, though.

I see you've got a JCW coming week 49, too

Quick update...

ASK MINI says our car IS scheduled for Week 49, but of course said it's "not set in stone". Hopefully that's not foreshadowing another delay.

My wife and I are OFFICIALLY future MINI owners... more specifically, future Oxygen Blue MINI owners!

We ordered our '09 Oxygen Blue MINI from Ferman MINI of Tampa Bay, with the following specs:

'09 Oxygen Blue
6-speed Manual Transmission
White Roof/Mirrors
White Turn Signals
Front Fogs (SP)
White Bonnet stripes (SP)
16" Bridge Spokes (in White) (SP)
DTC (SP)
Rear Spoiler (SP)
Sport Seats (Leatherette) (SP)
Anthracite Headliner
MFSW

So, basically, it's going to look a LOT like sbaker's previous OB Cooper. In fact, that's what sold us on the look. So, thanks sbaker!
Blainestang,

Congratulations!!!!!! Your car is going to be BEAUTIFUL!!! As much as I love my new Clubby I do miss Blue Belle's Oxy Blue paint. Pepper White is nice, but it's not Oxygen Blue. (Please don't tell my husband I said that.)

One thing about Blue Belle that always "bugged" me was the missing rear fog light. I would highly recommend adding those to your MINI. The missing toggle switch made the toggle bank look unbalanced plus it left a blank filler panel in the rear valance. Just my opinion of course.....

Thanks for the congratulations...

Yeah, we thought about getting an S, because I would typically prefer the extra power, BUT that means we can't get OB, and that's a problem. There are other colors we like, but none that we both agree on like OB.

As far as the fog light goes, maybe we will add that. More than any other reason, we both would probably be bugged by the missing toggle.

Plus, it's only ~$2/month haha

Yes, order the rear fog. I did that after I placed the order and my MA forgot to add it in. I got it for free.

Maybe I should add in a couple packages and hope the MA forgets to add it to the price

Linda, Congratulations! I love the name Nellie--seems perfect for a Cooper. I KNOW you're having fun. Hope it just keeps getting better & better!

Blainestang, that sounds like a FANTASTIC O2Blue you've got on order! I'm sure it seems like forever before it'll be here, but if it's any consolation to 'ya, we've all been through it (or are going through it). Just know that it's well worth the anticipation! Congrats!

The MINI (tedscar) goes to Gettysburg

Had a great outing to Gettysburg over the weekend (see https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143765)!

In the midst of so many huge monuments, one can really appreciate why they call it a MINI...almost couldn't see the Oxygen Blue color, but I knew it was there!

Nellie's a real looker Linda! I like the combo of the sport stripes, the chrome mirror covers, and the side scuttles.

The smile on your face really says it all--have fun!

Well, it's a little consolation... but I still want my MINI now! :D

Cool picture, Ted!

We don't even know when we're going to get the MINI, but we're already planning road trips with it. Road trips are a lot more reasonable when you get ~40mpg on the highway!

OK, this thread has been 'sleeping' too long. That's not nice for our fellow O2B enthusiasts. Here's a pic to keep things going...

Car looks great, Oxy!

Thanks for the new wallpaper while I'm waiting for our own OB MINI.

BTW, what suspension setup have you got?

The lowered stance makes the car so much more sporty/aggressive looking.

New Mini Owner

I've been trying to be patient and not get too excited, since I won't have my oxy blue mini (Bubbles, like the powerpuff girl since she is oxy blue with a black roof and black bonnet stripes) until December, but I just found out this morning that it is finally done and on a ship! I'm too excited and now just have to wait until the day I finally get to drive it home. At least I can look at all of the great pictures here until I can take mine home.

I had looked at the pictures here to see what color blue I wanted to get when I decided to order and once I saw the beautiful color that is oxy blue, I knew I had to have it!

That is too cool!!!! For all NAM's quirkiness and occasional drama, it really has become a great resource for NA enthusiasts!!!

You know, I feel things like this in my gut, and I suspect many of us do. Waiting for a MINI really messes w/ one's mind, probably due to a number of factors. I was nearly undone waiting for mine.....both times!!!!!!

Good luck....may your seas be smooth, your ship swift, the VDC efficient (and thorough), your ground transport gentle, and the dealer......well it'll just be a party at that point!!!!!
