Congratulations Analogeezer! Seems like your wait was mere moments (or is that my imagination?), but well worth it. Your MINI looks great, especially now that we know you were messing with the brightness.
I do agree though that the color of the O2B changes considerably in different light levels (and I'm not talking about night-time).

I love this picture! Congrats!
Congrats!!!
I have stupid(?) question: I've never seen white blinkers. Do people who see them know that they're turn signals? I love the way they look but I don't want to get hit by someone who says "I didn't see the little orange blinker so I didn't know you were turning..."
I would think the side scuttle markers are easy to replace but IIRC the rear lights require replacement of the entire tailight which is uber $$$$.
While it may seem silly to pay $100 for them, I'm glad I got tipped off on NAM about this option prior to ordering.
Sort of like the rear foglight option, seems silly for $100 but $100 on a $20k+ car makes sense if you like the option.

White signal lenses are actually a popular thing to add to sport compacts (aka "ricers") but it's one of those mods that actually looks tasteful.

She lets me drive it when we go places together, but it's not "my car".
She's not that into cars or car forums but I am so I've been participating here as a "part time driver".
My "fun car" is a Mazdaspeed Miata, also a very fun car...I guess you could say the MINI is no Miata, but at the same time the Miata is no MINI

Over on miata.net there are a lot of members who also own MINI's, I've noticed a couple of them here as well.

If you like the look, by all means order it as a $100 option, I think it works very well with OB but that's just my opinion....
You might also consider the rear fog light option, also $100....you can read about it here on NAM....most people obsess about it filling out the toggle switch panel but I think the value of the rear fog is:
1. Fills out the bumper panel, otherwise you get a plastic blank out panel
2. It's actually useful! It's brighter than your running lights, but not as bright as a brake light.
Some NAM members use them as "Back Off" lights when getting tailgated by Hummers and the like

We've been talking about this (buying a MINI) for over a year so a two month wait was not a big deal for us.....especially to get the car just the way we wanted it.

yeah, so aftermarket would be may more expensive than ordering them from the factory? as is true with most things. my boyfriend said the ones that came with it are LED so i shouldn't try messing that up.
I am getting my fenders painted sometime, so i guess when I do that, i'll get the lights on those changed to white. that would look awesome. i hate the red there, as it is.

I'm not sure how easy it is to remove/replace the tail lights, MINI makes a big deal of the fact that unlike 99% of the cars out there, the tail light is actually fitted into the entire rear fender, surrounded totally by metal.
Most tail lights are fitted between the bumper/hatch and fender, making alignment not as critical, you can move stuff around. This also makes it a lot easier to remove them.

+1 on the manual trans, can't have enough of those in the world!
On the side scuttles, with the black roof you might check out the "Black Jack" version, or maybe those are the ones you are getting.
It's a dealer option and easily swapped out for another if you change your mind later, just kinda pricey at $166.
I didn't get charged for the install BTW...

I'm going to order my oxygen blue mini tomorrow - can't wait!
I was thinking of getting a white roof with white stripes but wanted to see a picture
of it first. Found this web site and spent alot of time last night looking at pics and
reading posts. I also saw a oxygen blue with black roof and black stripes last
night. Now I can't make up my mind. Better start looking at more pics.
This is a great site.
