When I was 15 I bought my uncles 2004 GMC Canyon pickup (in 2007). Loved this truck right up until the moment we sold it. Last month after watching the italian job my uncle decided to replace the truck I had bought from him with a Mini Cooper, and the search began. 5 days later he was handing over the money to Acura of Concord and handing me the keys. 4 days after that the truck was sold. I love the mini so far!!

Honda CRX Si. Fun car, reliable, nimble, lightweight, modest power, good mileage.

It's going away on Saturday; it will be another 2 weeks before I can pick up Fenimore. I'll probably borrow one of my wife's cars for those 2 weeks.

2004 Volkswagen Passat. 4cyl turbo...had the worst turbo lag you can imagine. I'd put it right along side a camry for the most boring car available.

I can't believe I drove it for so long! I'm loving my 07 MCS!!! Just picked it up on Monday and couldn't be happier!

08 Jeep Rubicon traded for my 09 MCS. I had driven Jeeps for about 10 years prior also. Big jacked up ones. Everybody was shocked that I traded my Rubi in. But hey, I got the Rubi at an auction for 22k (31k brand new) with 2k miles on it and traded it for $25k. Not bad. But I am seriously thinking about getting another Wrangler. I just cant get rid on my MINI....

I don't sell or trade-in my old cars. I've scrapped a couple and gave a couple to my kids. I even swapped one for a boat. I still have my first car, a '52 MG TD! I currently have six cars, including my MINI.

I was driving a Ford F350 every day before the MINI, now I drive it only when I have to get stuff that won't fit in the MINI.

2011 E92 M3. I liked only two things on that car, the engine and DCT gear box. I'm actually a manual guy, so I don't miss DCT much... But that S65 engine... I do miss But the car (as good as it is) was a pig... At track, you can feel the massive weight (3700lbs)... Very fast and all, but very heavy which will end up costing fortune to track often. As a DD, you can't go full-throttle because there is too much power, you can't redline because it is at 8400rpm and in 1st gear you'll be above city speed limits, and at 2nd you'll be traveling at freeway speeds.. So no room to redline... At the end you end up driving conservatively (especially in Seattle), but you still get 15mpg. So what is the point of a car like this then? Too expensive to track, too powerful and thirsty as DD..

Now I have my MINI (R56), and I absolutely love it as DD. It is doing rather well at the track as well. I will eventually get a track car, but MINI is so good, I don't want to rush

What year TT and what motor / gearbox setup? How did / does it compare to your MINI? Also, what MINI are you running? I have always been in lust for a TT. I have loved the look since it came out and with the currrent motor, it should go as well as it looks, especially in TTS or TTRS trim.

Cmon 460 HP compared to 208 At best! Obviously HP was not your overlying concern by a country mile!!

You are comparing a modified car to stock mini?
Their would be no reason why you couldn't get a very similair power to weight ratio to his modified s4 with modifiying the mini. Plus you have to consider their is much greater loss in the Audi from crank to the ground then the mini as well. (which i assume he is talking about when he said 460hp)

I drove a 2003 540i Msport with a six speed. It was a fantastic daily driver but with over 150,000 miles, it was time for something new and more economical. Going from a V8 to a 4 cyl turbo is quite the difference! Nevertheless I don't regret trading the 540 for my 07' MCS one bit. The mini is much more nimble and somewhat more fun to drive. Oh and 34mpg vs. 19-20mpg helps too...

Was driving a 2010 Evo X MR...great all around car but the maintenance and gas were just brutal...16mpg and tires typically once per year or every 15K miles...then also the service that is required every 15K...on the MR the tranny needs to be addressed as well at around $800 a pop...

Just needed something cheaper to payoff to hand down to my son to drive when he turns 16 and the Turbo Evo is not really the car for that...

128i M Sport.

It was a lot of fun, but the MCS is actually faster, better handling, better on gas, cheaper, better on insurance, and has more features.

The truck i traded in for my Justa Cooper, was a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with a 5.9l Magnum (not the hemi) It was awesome full-time all wheel drive plus selectable 4hi and 4lo when things got err...dirty =] But @ 13mpg and $70 to a tank. Plus the tranny was going. But my MINI is freaking awesome! Love the handling wish i woulda went for the S but i live in the city and insurance would have been a bit out of my reach.

A champagne 1995 Nissan Altima. That my Mom and Dad gave us. It's only redeeming factor was no car payment. Bleh.

Had my 07 Pure Silver MCS for a couple months now and smile every time I drive it.
