HALLELUJAH!

3 + weeks later, Mia is finally back!
There is a faint engine rattle that I'm convinced they would never be able to diagnosis, that is sad.

She is also a monacle/blinky MINI now, as she is still missing one of the fog light lenses (back order) The body shop says that the MINI/BMW Parts dept. are total nitwits, lots of parts had to be special ordered and they ask for a front-right light and get a rear-left one, etc. I know I was a bit screwed time-wise because the shop was so busy, but I don't doubt parts were a problem too.

After driving the squishy Kia for 3 weeks, I forgot just how stiff the throttle response and other things were in the MINI. It's like you need to whip her like a horse, but then she gallops away!

Thanks carjoy! I want to celebrate too, but am conflicted. I can't break out the mojitos if I want to tottle around town! I think I'm going to drive out to the burbs to my favorite burrito place now! (Anyone else have Chipotle? Excellent!)

We have Chipotle! Love that place! Good way to celebrate. Maybe I'll have dinner there tonight in Mia's honor! Once you are safely tuck back home you can break open the mojitos and sit next to Mia!

SO MEAN! I LOVE Chipotle but there isn't one within 6 hours of here. I have to make due with Moe's although with the diet, don't know if I can do that anymore either. :( (going to go cry in a corner now with my lean cuisine)

Sorry for the tease Kitty!

What's really ridiculous is it's much more convenient to get Chipotle when I'm at the Dayton office. There's one opening up down the block but I'm worried after a few months I won't fit in Mia!

And fer the record, a good authentic Mexican hole-in-the-wall is the better place for a taco, but I think Chipotle is tops for the American-created burrito!

In school for a semester I ate there for lunch almost every other day, it was so good. Then I got sick of it. But it took a whole semester to get sick of it. Now whenever I'm out of town and there's a chipotle, I'm defintiely eating there. Something about the way they spice their meat... No one else get's it the kick that they do. Same with Taco Cabana, if anyone knows that place, their fajitas are the best but I can't get them anymore either. :( It sucks to get used to good Mexican food or Tex Mex and then move to SC where they couldn't make good Mexican food if it killed them.

Not a big bbq person- go figure. Ate more of that at school in Kansas than anywhere else. Oh well. Not that I can have that either...
Ok, enough food- is it slurpee time yet?

We have Chipotle, but Planet Burrito is much better.

y'all are too much!

I was just speaking to my poor 'ole friend in Calgary and she'd never even had BBQ. Very deprived up there. As another excuse to drive...and like I need more pork products...tonight I'm taking a drive for the best imitation Yankee BBQ place around here. Maybe I'll get a slurpee on the way back!

NFR Garmin Nuvi Icons

Hi All,

If you have a Garmin Nuvi you can now have a NFR MINI as your icon.

BBCooper has been creating custom colors and graphics for the Nuvi icons and he now has NFR.

Here is a link to BBCooper's post. He is now putting them on a server so you can download them yourself.

Here is a link to instructions once you've downloaded the srf files.

I just checked and he doesn't have the NFR up on the server yet...but I do have the NFR Checked Top w Black stripes file. If you're interested just PM me with an e-mail address and I will forward to you.

Sounds like an excuse for me to finally get one! And the fact that I live in an MC Escher city that I still do not understand at all. Actually, they are pretty useless here, I used my parents this weekend and it told us to make illegal left turns half a dozen times!
