I was so close to buying a Nightfire Red last night however I figured a MINI should really POP! Nightfire Red seemed to be more of a conservative color.

 

It really comes down to how much you want people to stare at you. Regardless of the color, looks of amusement will follow your MINI where ever you drive. The brighter the color, the more eyes it will catch. One could say it depends upon how much attention you want due to your car. I wouldn't trade my NFR for any other color...and I'm not at all conservative.

 

Ummm...totally NOT conservative....NFR is about something deep (and disturbing!)...it's crazy, it's different, it's not what you'll ever expect. NFR is all about parking beside another MINI and not being recognized as a MINI. NFR is about 20 different colors depending on the light...NFR is about disappearing in the night only to flash to life when you pass under a street light....there's nothing quite like NFR......thank goodness for lunacy!

I'll get flamed but Chili Red. I wanted Oxygen Blue but the fiance hated it, also Chili Red maybe everywhere but it seems so fitting for the MINI. Number one choice would be Jet Black but they don't make that color anymore.

 

so I special ordered a fence from Home Depot and they delivered it and they're claiming it's in a box. THIS BOX COULD FIT IN THE BACK OF MY MINI! So if they end up being right and it is in a box, I can then say i could fit 200' of fencing in a mini all at once. I'm hoping they're wrong and I can't say that though. Stupid Home Depot. I'm sticking to lowe's in the future.

 

Don't mess with the MINI! It'll be the downfall of Home Depot!

 

at least I know if this joke of a fence isn't what I wanted, I can fit it in the car to return it.

Dennis, Its Friday. Its a BIG party weekend here between the SuperBowl and the FDR Open (golf). I'm going to ready early for one of those slurpees! Fair warning!

I think it's going to work out, the salesguy called me and said something to the effect of the idiots can't read 48x96 inches. I guess they're hunting my fence down right now. I always thought that box was part of my shed anyways. Should have opened it this morning when they delivered but it was pouring so I ignored it.

 

By the sounds of it...it's going to be SUPERBOWL alrighty...maybe not the one you're hoping for?

So, how do I join the Nightfire Red Owners Club. I ordered a 2008 Nightfire Red Cabrio yesterday. Cold weather and sport packages, HK radio, black bonnet stripes and a few other items too inconsequential to mention. And, for a car with an English ancestry, a proper English name "Randolph Wadsworth Cooper".

 

So I just got my MC NFR on Monday! and now that it's home and all, I do want to get some cosmetic work done. Now I'm just wondering what to do. I've got a black roof and mirrors and I know that I want to have some striping done, but should they be black or white? Black would be more discrete, but white would certainly stand out more.

Any suggestions?

Msmingle--you'll just be the 2nd cabrio we've had around here. I'm quite jealous, heated seats and a cool breeze is a pretty great combo!

Jsanagalan--have Dennis, our official NFR info keeper check if anyone has the black top/white stripe combo, but I don't think so. In my personal opinion, I don't know if mixing the colors like that would be great. Check out all of the vendors that are here and you'll find all kinds of goodies to customize.

 

I don't think I would mix the colors either. My OEM stripes have a thin white border on either side but are visually black. Like Rooandren has suggested, there are plenty of vendors who can offer a lot of options. I am having Aesthetic Creations add matching stripes to the boot of CARJOY.

Welcome to the NFR Group! This is so exciting! I'm Dennis, the database guy. I'm the one who tracks all the people who come here with their NFR's. So I need some info for the database.

I need: MINI's name, your location (state / province), roof color, stripes, transmission, packages, and any other options (seat & interior color, options, etc). JS, I haven't seen different colored stripes on a black roof, but I've seen many different stripes styles and colors in the galleries here. Some look fantastic and some not so much! You can also try the MINI website....but it won't mix and match different colors.

Best bet...take a look thru the galleries and look at all the wild options...then just make it yours! Welcome aboard to the lunacy! Want a Breakfast Slurpee?
