There's a yellow mini here in town with a black top and white stripes. It doesn't look bad, but it doesn't look good either. no way to describe it really. I think it would look worse on a darker car, at least with yellow, the white kinda blends in.

Are there any NFRs going to AMVIV in March? I'll definitely be there.

AHHHH... No, I won't be going, a bit too far to drive. Although, hopefully I'll be in Vegas over Memorial Day weekend if I can talk my friend into going.

They need to set up like a mini adoption program. where like when you visit a town, you get a loaner car from the dealer so you won't be without a mini. or they charge you a low rental fee. That would be so nice. I'd love to get a mini whenever I need a rental vs. a kia.

The Hertz center here got in 10 2008 Minis that are available for rental. We have a couple in the local MINI club (DMC) that owns a convertible. To solve the "who gets to drive" issue, they went down there and rented another convertible to take up to AMVIV!

Bubbles and his human counterparts are planning a huge trip to the south in June...from here, to San Antonio, across the desert to Grand Canyon, through Utah and Colorado back to Canada eventually...a 3 week trip....so no Vegas this year!

Consider it done!!! Meanwhile, I'm about to motor out to the west side with windows rolled down and sun roof open! I'll be thinking about you!

the weather here is teasing us. It was 70 degrees over the weekend and today we're supposed to barely crack 50. Oh well, can't complain, I don't think I could take the -39 and all my friends call me the polar bear. That might be pushing it a bit.

All the Polar Bears are frozen in their tracks right now! They won't begin moving for a few weeks yet!

That is just incredible temperatures, DennisD. Are you just south of the North Pole or something? Man! I don't know how you do it!

Dennis- You probably didn't get to watch Ice Road Truckers, I heard it didn't air in Canada but do you have to do anything to your engine to keep it from freezing up? They talk a lot about weatherproofing their engines for the winter on the ice road. or are you warmer than those guys?

We have electric block heaters that keep our car engines warm, but MINI doesn't make them...the synthetic oil still works fine down to -99....

But I think next winter I'm going to get a battery blanket warmer to keep the battery going....that will help a lot!

And yes, CJ...we actually play Tetherball WITH the north pole!

I would have thought it was a chunk of ice and not a snowball. Or is that the difference between softball and baseball.....
