Still grinning, after 135,000 miles. Nary an issue.

I also still have my NFR '08. A few issues along the way - I had to replace the infamous thermostat housing - twice in one year!; front wheel bearings & shocks about a year ago. Everything else A-OK (except wear items - brakes, tires, etc. as you'd expect) after 9 1/2 years and 150,000km - mine still has its original battery.
I still enjoy driving it after all this time and it still draws admiring glances as I drive down the street.

Oh, I consider the thermostat housing a normal wear and tear item as it is made from plastic. I have been through 3 of them. Finally had to replace the battery last year.

Romi and I celebrated her 11th birthday by taking a 2,000 mile road trip.

She is just a happy little car. Purrs like a kitten getting a good head scratch.

I noticed the insert in the shift ****, displaying the shift pattern, is starting to yellow. No problem to replace that.

It is getting close to the time where I will have to part with her. Building another car to replace her. Going to be a sad day when she drives away without me.

My '08 NFR is going up for sale this week. I've bought a new car & I already have another car (a 1969 MGB), so MINI has got to go.

10 years and 1 month on, I still get a kick out of driving this car. It's been really reliable too, a few things have gone wrong over the years but nothing out of the ordinary. No squeaks or rattles, it still drives and looks like a vehicle much younger than it is.

I too will be sad to see mine go. C'est la vie!

SOLD!!

Bye bye NFR MINI!

I'll miss ya.

Mini driving away for the last time

I took delivery in May 2008... sold in October 2018. 159,000km, around 100,000 miles of mostly trouble free motoring.

I didn't even advertise, not even a for sale sign on the car - - word-of-mouth only.

I paid $24,500 (+ taxes etc). I asked $5300, took an offer from a local woman for $5100. Canadian $$$.

I've attached a few photos of the car on her last day with me... doesn't look 10+ years old, does she? Still a head-turner.
