R56 The Official Nightfire Red Owners Club
Morning All NFRs! Its Friday for me! Woo Hoo. Heading out to AMVIV tomorrow. I'll be looking for other NFRs for recruitment to the thread! Do I get a commission for each new member I bring in????
I go away to AMVIV and everyone hibernates??? Its a good thing another color posted in here or I'd be double-posting!
BTW, CARJOY was the only NFR Cooper at the event. There was an NFR Clubman there but I never did get the opportunity to talk to the driver. I did the Death Valley fun run and maintained 3rd position behind the leader of the pack the whole way. Who needs an S! You don't need no stinking S!

It was nice. It had a silver roof which really changed the NFR color. My MC appeared to be much darker. I didn't get a chance to check out the interior to see how it was configured. There is too much to do at AMVIV!
There's a NFR Clubman with silver roof at my dealer (they actually have 2 clubman's!), but I didn't like it....but then again, I'm not a fan of the Clubman...
Still missing Bubbles....big time! Calling this afternoon for an update report.

My precious took a beating this weekend. The MINI I was following to Vegas kicked up a piece of retread on I-40. It hit my roof in between the windshield and the sunroof. Then it bounced back and hit the windshield of the MINI behind me and crushed it. Not being done just yet, it then lodged itself into the aerokit on the 4th MINI cracking it to pieces. That was Day One.
On Day Two, on the fun run to Death Valley, my windshield got blasted with rocks and now has two cracks. One is running right through the rain sensor and the other is on the passenger side.
On Day Three, while getting a pulsar kit installed, it was pointed out to me that my front tires were about to blow.
They had bubbles on the sidewalls. Of course, these are the factory tires with only 11K miles on them. And, of course, Dunlap would not replace them under warranty so I had to buy new tires to drive home.On Day Four, while not MINI related, I came home to find a 14 inch long snake had moved in!!
I'm not living my life right or something.....
Egads! I hope your precious is ok, carjoy. At least you had a lot more fun than the only place she would be totally safe-the garage!
Good luck with Bubbles, dennis. Trust me, I feel your pain!

Ooooo! I also got a maroon Mini stuffed with catnip! The cats are going WILD!!!! They love it!
That doesn't sound like a very fun trip for the car, but if half those things happened to you.....you would have definitely done it Vegas Style! What's with the scourge of the NFR? Looks like we've run into a particularly nasty bit of weather....Roo, me, CJ.....hopefully it ends after 3's?
I picked up a windshield chip today. A piece of gravel that sounded like a .22LR when it hit. 2976 miles. I'm bummed...Mine was from the wide tires on a Jetta. You have a much better story. I'm glad you're home safe and sound.
Check out the AMVIV Photo thread. Blacknblue got a great pic of CARJOY!

I'm not in any of the ones I posted (behind the lens of course!). My club all stayed until yesterday so most of the pictures I'd be in aren't posted anywhere.
