R56 The Official Nightfire Red Owners Club
Hi NFR's ! hope you are enjoying the warm springtime. Here in Europe, spring has barely arrived... this is the first warm weekend we've had in a month!
This spring Betty Boop will be getting a few "visual upgrades" so stay tuned for pics

Hey Betty! I've been making extremely little changes to Bubbles. Our weather has been amazing - we've had a few days over 30 C already and have already taken a few MINI roadtrips this spring.
I'm looking forward to your visuals...I'll take pics of mine too, although they are very little!

Anyone home?
Seems like years between posts on this thread since Nightfire Red was only available on the 2010 Cooper Convertible and Clubman (in both cases, not on the 'S' versions). Has anyone heard if Nightfire Red will be available on 2011 models?
Twiggy just crossed the 10,000 mile mark last week. It was just a year ago that I was breathlessly tracking her progress through the production process. My wife and I are leaving this Friday for five weeks in England and Scotland - of course, I have reservations for a tour through the Oxford plant.
Unfortunately, they do not allow cameras in the factory
but I'm sure I will still enjoy the 4-hour tour. We will be in the factory on September 20th - almost exactly one year after I took delivery of Twiggy.
I gave Twiggy an early birthday present last week - new personalized license plates ("TWIGGY" of course).
Let's motor!

Enjoy England Ray. I was at MINI United last year, and missed the chance for a factory tour. BUT, Silverstone Raceway was just as good for me!
Bubbles is just passing 60,000 Kms....or 37,000 miles. Sometimes I think, "That's a lot!" But, then I think about all the trips we've been on.....maybe it's time for another roadtrip?

The grille came painted that way with the AeroKit... which i love by the way.. not a single Clubbie i have seen locally has the kit.
Greetings fellow NFR owners. I picked my mini up back in June, and have been enjoying every minute I get in it. After looking through this thread, I think I may have picked up another NAM members Mini actually. Hope to see you on the roads! Happy Motoring!
Well after looking through the boards a lot over the last two days, I do believe I am the new owner of "Chucky." I sent First a PM in an attempt to confirm this, but it seems as he hasn't been around since his post regarding the return of Chucky to the dealer.
On the sad side of things, I'm actually going to be separated from my NFR for quite some time, though my wife will get to have the joys with it. I'm headed to Yuma on Sunday for a few months of training and then on to a year contract deployment for a government contractor. On the plus side it means there will be lots of goodies in store for my NFR and quite possibly even another Mini to the family. Hope everyone is having a wonderful night!

Hey all! It's been such a long time since I've checked this site. Belated welcome 68 Steps!
CJ - Next week I'm flying to Lake Havasu - coming to Glendale for a hockey game (typical Canuck!).
How are the NFRs? Mine, just passed 40,000 miles and still going - a few door dings and some caked on salt & dirt from our winter roads - but still smiling! Too bad I wasn't as much.....
DBman!

Hey everyone! Just bopping in for a bit to say hello, it's been absolute ages since I last checked what was going down on NAM! Hope you all have been and are doing well! :D
Ellis has just hit 34k miles and is going strong - just a couple tiny dings on the rear bumper from some fellow who didn't know how to parallel park and a snapped stabilizing spring on the clutch pedal :P
We'll be taking a drive up the California coast in April which I'm pretty excited about (:

My NFR has over 45K miles on it now. I had my water pump go out, but that turned out to be a factory defect issue that they said was happening fairly commonly. But other than that, still happy
I've driven it from CA to AZ and also from CA to NV a few times (hence the high mileage for just 2 years of ownership).
Got some laughs while at Home Depot loading wood for my fence on the top of the MINI. It hauled it just fine... but got a lot of "you can borrow my truck if you need" comments in the parking lot. One guy mentioned "what's next, someone bringing in a smart car?".

Hi gang. As I am now in Afghanistan, my was has claimed Chucky. But, I won't complain just yet. There is a chance I'll be getting another when I get back. She has gone mod crazy, and has in fact become a car nut. We initially removed the orange lenses from the headlights which she later replaced the white bulbs with the silver bulbs that flash orange. She picked up a set of scuttles from another MM.org member and swapped those out as well. She also went and had some custom stripes added and even got the added bonus of getting "CHUCKY" decals for both rear side windows. Her last mod was replacing the upper grille, and adding some badges. Let us know what you think!

Her next set of plans for my money and my MINI, is window tint, aftermarket wheels/tires and suspension. I'll lead her this way so she can give us mileage updates, as she drove from Dallas to Wilmington and many places in between in the last month (and anything else she wishes to add).
Happy Motoring!

Yup, Chucky hit the 50k mark while I was on my way to NC a few weeks ago. I am about to head out to SC tomorrow morning, so even more miles. At least it's in a MINI! I always get compliments on the NFR color though. LOVE it.
Hey all. I have been on here since I got my NFR MINI back in August 09 and somehow I have never posted in this thread :(
Anyway, here is my car; 2009 NFR MINI. I am the only owner, bought her during cash for clunkers, traded in my 98 cadillac deville.
This is how she sits now, I will try to find some pics of when I first brought her home.

Have done tons of mods to her and a bunch more to come!
