Oh you Americans and your politics! We Canadians just don't get it up here....why all the bruhaahaa...we barely know who our Prime Minister is....we base our voting choices to the candidate with the longest last name...yup...they get our votes!
Let's dunt(tm) inject anything political here folks. The mods will lock our thread if you do.
Let's get back to the hot wax, Kitty's dog fetish, rooandren's naked music, carjoy's self-inflected whip woounds. dennisd's terrified wheels, and other pertinent nonsense which makes the cult go round.

A thousand apologies Skuzz. We are forever humbled..... We promise to remain in our ignorant bliss from now on. Content with just knowing we fight the good fight against Lint and we drive the best looking MINIs on the road!
Start the nerves again- Rosey's going to be in the hands of strangers. they're on their way to pick her up. I'm really hoping they're trucking a mini down here for me and trucking rosey back and not just driving something down. eeeeeek not even 400 miles on her and a stranger is getting their mitts on her. I hope she doesn't revert back to her slutty ways.
Well, the inevitable happened...insurance wasn't willing to come anywhere close to MINI's labor rates. When asked to estimate how much it would cost out of pocket to make up the difference, we were told $1300
We were recommended to the bodyshop that MINI ends up sending most of the cars to though, our guy says they're highly recommended and his MINI has been there! I got a recommendation for the place though work too, so that's what'll happen.
So I have an honest question, though a stupid one. (I've never had a nice new car and barely know anybody who has!) Who ever gets work done by the dealer if insurance won't pay for it?!? I can comprehend how it works with maintenance, it's what you're willing to pay for, but for collision and comprehensive, is it really always the story that people lay out hug extra money or what?

Yep...basically you get what you pay for. If someone charges good money for work, their shop is well laid out, and they have good equipment and tools, you know that they are going to use good parts and good supplies....and then the repair will be solid too! After all, this is one solid little car!
