I've only had 1 car repaired by the dealer but then that was when I was in a new location, brand new car, and the other people's insurance was paying. (first oil change and the garage backed it into a pole) so I'm guessing it was their business insurance that covered it. I've always gone to independent shops for all my body work. Find one you trust. For me it was a family member who specialized in classic cars but made his bread and butter with normal cars. Now that I'm out here in Myrtle Beach, My car ended up where it was towed after a wreck but they turned out to be excellent. The city has a contract with them for all their work.

I never thought Friday would get here. This has been the longest week I have had in a long time. Something is very wrong with the space-time continuim.

Last week felt like it took forever to me and i was only in town 2 days. Dealing with the leak and no heat, and Rosey and everything made time seem like it was standing still.

Think 8' quarter round would fit? since it bends... how much did the 2x4 stick out the back? maybe out the passenger window?

if the 2x4 was right up to the dash, it stuck out less than a foot. What...what was I talking about? WAX? where's the line up?

I dunt(tm) think applying wax to an 8 foot long 2x4 is going to make it fit any better in the Mini.

Not yet, but what makes us the Slurpee Capital of the World is that we don't wait until 5:00

I can't. The Wife unit is due home from her trip at around 9:45pm. I have to go and pick her up. Can't be any sillier than I normally am or she would get suspicious......well. Knowing her, she would just laugh her tush off and shove me into the passenger seat.

Hey Everyone!
Rosey's back and kinda good as new, the paint is still not exactly perfect but I didn't want to send her right back to Charleston for that, I'm hoping I can work it out when I clean her up. Also, an 8' piece of quarter round does fit in a Mini, you have to put it on top of the dash and lay down the opposite seat and then it's still a tight fit but it was manageable. In case anyone ever needs to know.
