Can I lock my boss in the basement? I had to give him a ride into work today b/c he needed to drop his car off to get some work done on it and it's on my way. So he get's in my car and promptly pops open the can of Dip (spilling some) and then he's dipping and spitting in my car, and I already can't stand the smell! and I can't do anything about it b/c he's my boss and he's already in a bad mood b/c I guess he had a fight with his wife so he was nice and crabby. sign... now I have to drive him back out to the dealership in a little bit. Maybe I suggest we take the company truck... Can I strap him to the hood like a deer?

Boss or no boss, it is your car which he doesn't control. He is asking for a non-work favor. Stand your ground and tell him to behave in your car otherwise he can get a taxi!!! Don't let him control the situation even if he is your Boss because this is not the work environment.

And I'm done with the basement, so it is all yours!!!!

Loss of smiley control happens from time to time. Only way out is to take a salmon and slap someone with it!

Hey! Carjoy is LOOSE!!! Er,..wait,..not sure if that came out right.

There are rules in this thread for non-NFR owners, you know. Check out

Ok, I know I read somewhere about something you can put on your doors so they don't freeze shut, was it Pam or WD-40? I can't find it again to save my life. I figured our Resident -40 would know... Not that I need it but I have a friend who would appreciate the info greatly.

I would suggest applying WD40 to the rubber gaskets...it not only helps to seal the doors better, but it repels water...so the doors won't freeze shut...although I'm sure Pam will work great too, you'll just be hungry all the time!

and the windchill was -42 this morning...Bubbles had a check engine light...it looks like 1/2 an engine and says that the engine isn't at full power...go to dealer! NO KIDDING...I'm not at full power at -42 either!

I'm anxious to see one of these Clubmans in action. I am very suspicious of those rear pillars, but I've been avoiding reading much about it, and looking at the pics so I can be more surprised in the flesh. Silver roofs are nifty though.

Can you believe I still don't have my car? They had to special order one of the radiator hoses. They said probably today, but I bet it will be delayed further for some other nonsense like emissions testing (he actually did say they have to do that!)

ok, the weirdest thing has been happening, randomly my window won't automatically roll back up when I open the door and shut it. I'll try every little trick I know, and then it just fixes itself it seems. I have no clue what I'm doing that's the magic combo but apparently it's something, has anyone else had this issue?

It's super cold there, right? I had that happen a couple of times when it got down to around 10F. When you try to close the door it just bounces back open, yes? Because the window hasn't scooched down the way it's supposed to? I'm sure it's frozen. I think my fix was to use the switch to roll the window up and down, and voila!

Useless fact of the day: the "CROC" acronym and number in peoples' signatures is Chili Red Owners Club. You can finally sleep at night!

No, it's 60 outside right now. It'll go down like its supposed to but when you close the door it doesn't go back up. The fix in the T-bird was to hold the switch in the up position for a few seconds so I've been trying that. Needless to say it wasn't working. Then I went and washed the car and voila it started working again, don't know if it had to do with putting it in park or if Rosey just wanted a bath and was starting to act out. What's weird is my passenger window has the auto-up function but the drivers side doesn't, you'd think it would be the opposite. It's making me wonder if I have a software glitch of some sort.

That is odd, did it happen more than once and always not in park? And to whine a little more, it's been so long since I've seen her I can't remember about the auto-up (and haven't rolled down the windows much in months either, a little chilly!)

it's happened once before, but that time i had a bout of klutziness and flipped the toggle a few times and I think I confused it so it stuck halfway, I had to wait a few seconds and then I was able to roll it up but then it did the sticky thing when you open the door. I did my hold the toggles up for a few seconds and that seemed to fix it and all was fine for awhile. This past time it was completely random. I didn't confuse it or antyhing ahead of time. It just confused itself I guess. I should probably start a thread on this out on the main board... Poor Rosey, I hope she doesn't have to go back to Charleston so soon!

Yes, you are close Kitty. Hold the toggle up for at least 10 seconds after the window has reached full close. That is supposed to reset the window 'bouncer'.

Heck, I dunt(tm) know what else to call it.

And there is ap roduct called 'Black Wow' which works great to keep the windows from sticking to the seals. It is primarily for the hard black plastic trim, but it works really well for the window seals too.
