Oil Filter Housing Gasket

I am working on my 2007 Mini Cooper Base Hardtop, R56, N12 engine.

My car just developed an oil leak where the oil filter adapter housing mounts to the block, it started slow but is now at the point that it needs attention. Today I placed the car in the front service position (actually really easy to do) ad removed everything, needless to say, the o-ring type gaskets were hard and brittle. I the o-ring kit, exhaust manifold gasket/heat shield and a new exhaust clamp.

I do have a question though. What is the torque spec for the adapter mounting bolts? The information is not in my Haynes manual. Did a search here but didn't come up with anything.

Thanks.

I bet that was difficult to do as there is no room to take out the exhaust manifold. This was the first time I put mine in the service position, probably took 45 minutes......time well spent.

Got her all back together, changed the oil and filter and went on a 30 mile test drive. So far so good, everything is leak free.

I did this job recently on my spawn's E53 X5 - one of the few jobs that appears easier on the Mini... (well, other than getting it in Service Position I suppose...)
