Oil Filter housing torque spec?

So i changed my oil for the 1st time yesterday at 2,500 Miles on the clock.
I been checking the drain plug and oil filter housing to make sure i have no leaks.

So today i check again, right where the oil filter housing screws onto the assembly, there was a light film of oil on the assembly itself. It wasn't much but it is there, it is not dripping or anything like that.

The oil is on the higher up assembly not on the oil filter housing. Which is weird.... if it was to leak it should be traveling down, however it is up instead.

So now i am paranoid thinking if the gasket didn't sit correctly on the housing to cause a small amount of oil to seep out.

However i highly doubt that is the case, as i am a careful person who double checks everything.

Any thoughts? Also anyone have the torque spec for the housing?
Mine is sitting at about 20ft lb

I don't know the torque spec for that part, but 20 ft lb is plenty on a plastic part. An oil leak from the base & gasket is not going to travel up hill. Was the filter canister clean when you removed it?

Hmm the canister should be pretty clean when i took it off.
I didn't pay attention to it, just took it off. Didn't wipe it before removing.

It wasn't dripping or coated with oil, thats all i can say.

I am letting the car run for 5 minutes on my ramps right now and wipe with a paper towel to see if anymore seeps out

Where did you do the oil change at if not at your home?

What torque spec did you use for the drain plug?

Lol... Oil was changed saturday evening.
I posted this sometime Sunday i believe.

Well it turns out that, on saturday i didnt tighten the oil filter housing tight enough, it probably had a small space where small amount of oil seep out between the upper assembly and the filter housing,

So Sunday when i posted this up, i tighten the housing some more, now keep it mind i always over tighten alot of stuff in the past, i have snap off bolt heads and what not.

And on Monday i checked again afterwork, i didnt see any oil on my paper towel that i wiped the housing with. So it should be good now, i will check again today when i get home from work.

PS: 5 Qts is not enough.... at first it said it was FULL, but then it went down by 1 slot when i did the Oil level measurment.

F56/F56S:
Engine oil 4.25 L (4.49 US Qt) / 5.0 L (5.28 US Qt)

Since you can't drain 100%, wouldn't 5 qt for F56S be kind of in the middle of L and F if it had a oil measure stick?

it is more than in the middle.
From how the measuring gauge works, i am just 1 slot below where it states it is full.
But more than being in the middle.

.28 quarts is almost 9 oz. That's more than a cup! which is 1/4 of a quart LOW. Not sure I'd want to leave that out, although I can't believe it would be catastrophic by any stretch. I'm doing my third oil change this weekend which will about kill the extra quart of oil I bought to go with the 5 quart jug of Mobil 1 I buy to do the change, and makes up that .28 quart that's not in the jug.

Yeah. I know. My wife says I'm an inspiration to **** retentive's everywhere.
