And yes, butt dyno does feel a bit of bump in power.

Half the price of the "Okada" name, but the same performance under the Ignition Projects branding!

Let us know if you want a set, we anticipate 2-3 sets of these before the end of the month.

Great! What plugs do you recommend with them? I was considering the colder NGK plugs

We run the same Brisk plugs ra2fanatic runs which are the QR12LS Silvers. But NGK is also a great brand for having colder spark as well. All preference at the end of the day.

Besides getting a hotter spark what sets these coils apart from the stock coils?

It's not that hard to go to IP's website and figure out what they do. Consistent spark compared to stock.

"The IP Coils are the ignition coil with a high power amplifier built in to it. The IP Coils produce 4 times more spark energy than stock coils and also generate an ultra fast multi spark discharge of 10 sparks up to highest RPM. The spark amperage is increased 100%, allowing the spark to reach many more molecules and therefore accelerate the ignition and combustion process. This is extremely important in forced induction applications but also improves the performance of normally aspirated engines."

Well, if no one bites, then I'm keeping them until I replace them with another set of Volks, not sure which set of Volks though. But I've been hankering for something bigger for the "show" status, some nice 18s.

Only 2 companies I can think of that really perk my interest, SSR and CCW (again, I know). If I went with CCW this time, they won't be Classics though!

Are you running the rear block off plug or leaving it connected like factory?

DoS intake has left a void in that area, will have to attach a bar to clamp on to. How are the IP's working out, you know I have interest in these? Out of town for a few week, will be back later this week, any progress with the turbo?

Ah....that's right. You can drill a hole into your bulk head and attach it that way too.

IP's are good! I feel like it really has made a difference in the way the MINI drives now. Butt dyno does feel the difference so I'm happy I finally got them.

No new progress to say the least. You should come by Ivan's tomorrow. BT will have the MINI and try to lower it a bit more, too high. I may have to sell these springs and get some 1" lower springs than what I have now.

Is this finally your stage 4 tune? I also noticed that your AEM turbo inlet pipes silicon piece is not slid on your turbo inlet all the way!

Yes it is. Tons of wheel spin even with my extreme summer tires. Revs almighty!

Yeah....I need to dremel the inside of the pipe some more because it doesn't go in all the way even after tightening. I'll work on that a bit more tomorrow.

Speaking of wheel spin have you thought about a more heavy duty clutch to handle all of that extra power? I can't wait to see some dyno results.

I have/haven't. I don't want to mess with the driving characteristics I have with the stock clutch so I'm on the fence of whether to go with something "heavy duty" and ruin the feel.

But I also am running a very linear map so it's not like I'm boosting hard immediately off the line. So I'm not stressing the clutch.

If you're not doing a heavy duty clutch I'd def put some Royal Purple synchromax in for your transmission fluid. It will help put down some of the power that the stock clutch/flywheel loses. I use it in my JCW and love it. Unless you already use it in which case, carry on.

Thanks. I'm running MTF-94 since I have the factory LSD. Don't think I'll deviate away from that until I've swapped it out for the Quaife later this year.
