Umm, I call BS on that. I've had an 03 R53 and a 12 clubman S as well. Never had a leak problem. Take it back to the dealer, fit and finish issue I'm guessing.

yea take it back and make them fix it. Mine had a small leak when raining or washing the car. Dealer fixed it, no issues since.

Both my r56 and r55 leak a little if you hit them with the car wash nozzle in just the right way, but never in an automatic or the rain.

I drove a BMW 2002 for 14 years. The frameless windows began to leak when the natural rubber molding dried out. My MINI's windows do not leak, and neither should yours. You shouldn't be having this problem.

Mine leaked, and they fixed it. Then it started leaking again. It's a little disconcerting and annoying in a big rain storm.

I had some wind noise and minor water leaking for a few years before I was sure that it wasn't normal. I took it to Motor City MINI, and poof- they moved up the closing position of the window a few millimeters, and no more wind noise nor leaks.
Find a dealer who knows how to set the window position.
Almost no noise from my closed sunroof

There is a procedure for adjusting the door and the window to get rid of water and air leaks. I have it at home. It's not hard to do.

I would be interested in hearing about your procedure if it's something that's DIY friendly.

I was told the same thing as pjv1k by my dealer. I'm rather frustrated. If you could share how to get rid of leaks, that'd be great...
