Engine malfunction light yellow/fault warning flashing

My wife was driving the car (2013 CMS All4) home early from work yesterday and about halfway home she calls and tells me the engine lights just came on flashing yellow. I meet her at the car, call roadside assistance and they verify that there's a problem possibly with fuel being dumped and the cat is reporting excess fuel. So now it's sitting at the dealer over the weekend since they aren't open on Saturdays (WHAT CAR COMPANY DOESN'T HAVE SERVICE ON SATURDAY???) and I'm sitting w/o a car for who knows how long...

A search of other threads seems that a number of other owners have had leaky injectors and/or bad plugs. Has anyone else had this issue? I only have 34.4k miles on it. And is there anything we can do to get the dealer to open on Saturdays??? These cars tend to need service more than others! And I don't know about you, but I work M-F, 8-4.

Anyway, needed to let off steam. And I hope I can get a loaner Monday when they open.

Tim

Did they read the fault codes and tell you what they were? When I worked at the dealer, we were open on Saturdays. I'm surprised they aren't open as most are now a day. Did the dealer call and update with what the possible cause was yet?

Still no update and going on day 2. They did say yesterday that they weren't sure they could get to it. Mini of Pittsburgh needs to move in to a bigger facility with more mechanics and be open on Saturdays! Going to call shortly to see what the deal is.

Back in the old days, no service department was open on Saturday and for the most part everything was closed on Sunday except for churches. People didn't expect to get 24/7 on all things. However nowadays not having Saturday hours is stupid. Do other dealers nearby offer Saturday service? If so you might want to tell mini that your next car will be a VW diesel, or maybe not.

Haha! I had traded my Golf TDI in for this in May. Saturday service would be nice.

Small update, at the dealer now. Misfire on all 4. They are digging further to try to narrow it down.

Since fuel level was low, fill tank and will reevaluate if codes return.

When the code was thrown, there was between 5 and 6 liters of fuel in the tank.
