Chrome Exhaust Tips
Chrome Bonnet Scoop
Universal Handset Free Kit
Digital Sound POWER Module
More New Racks then the March Playboy
JCW Strut Brace

I may have missed a few.
I need to find some full shots of the spoiler mounted.
Anyone know the wattage of the stereo?

I like that JCW wing though. Would be much easier to clean under and around.

Yeah most the stuff if Blingware(TM) but the Strut, Shift Indi and perhaps the Spoiler would be useful on the track.

I never thought I go for anything Bling but the the aero kit on the pepper white with black roof and stripes makes the MINI look like a stormtrooper, very nice look. Other than that I steer away for non performance goodies.

The Digital Power Sound Modul (DPSM) is NOT an upgrade to the H/K... in fact it isn't even compatible with the H/K, although I imagine someone could rip out the H/K-specific stuff to install it. The DPSM is intended as an upgrade from the standard "Boost" stereo... and apparently has a higher output than the H/K does. I'm looking forward to hearing one!

The first person to report on a DPSM installation just posted a few days ago: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...6&postcount=70. I tend to favor upgrading through OEM instead of aftermarket (stealthiness, integration, etc.), but $2000 MSRP for a convertible plus 5 hours of installation is beyond my reach. DPSM adds an external amp and upgrades the speakers. However it still keeps the original stock head unit, which no doubt becomes the weak link in the system.

you could toss a much better aftermarket stereo in there 2/3 of the price.

massive OEM stereo upgrades are NEVER worth it.

Lexus' Mark Levinson system on the GS430? hell of a stereo! NOT worth the $3500 price tag

What happened to a $22K car?

I priced out a JCW convert and it came close to $50K. What is MINI thinking. For that kind of money you can get an Elise, Vette, Boxster, etc...

Its all in the marketing. If you want all the performance goodies, the price will shock you.

They are going to have to take a serious hit on that car. Its a 2005 JCW with all the carbon fiber bits, JCW brakes and lots else. They said they would give somebody a deal on it, but still. Having a 2005 car more than halfway into the 2006 model year isn't good...plus I think they had that car fairly well before the end of the 2005 model year

Is it just me, or does $1250 for the Hands Free kit and $1650 for the DPSM seem a bit excessive

I do keep eyeing the JCW wing though

Yeah, as nice as it might be to have the handsfree play through the sound system, if you want handsfree, its so cheap and simple to just get an earpiece for your phone. I have one of the fancy Bluetooth ones and it cost me less than $100

Originally, we tried that. In fact, I'm sure I still have it lying around. Problem is that those are a royal pain in the butt. You got to remember to keep them charged, you lose them, etc.

Once you have a real bluetooth system hooked up, you will never go back ... the wife says its it the absolute BEST "mod" made to the car.

I joked with my MA when I was ordering that I had created the most expensive 2005 MC that their dealership had ever sold...
