you don't get off that easily! i have a sunroof too, and cooperflags can
accomodate that option...check out the site and see what i mean.

Welcome to the CWFMC. There's a bunch of us here eagerly awaiting the loading of TOSCA. We'll be pounding the WW site tommorrow so we can all celebrate when our babies get their rooms on the cruise. I booked an exterior suite with a balcony. I hope he can stay out of the casino.

 

Fellow Tosca cruisers: If what Sethster said about a slight delay is true, that might be in our favor. The attached link shows the plot for Tropical Storm Ana. G3, I think I'm going to get a lower berth as I don't want to risk rolling off in high seas. However, when its nicer, I wouldn't mind stopping by your balcony for a drink!

Hopefully you'll be able to come up as we leave the port tommorrow. I see on the WW site that most everyone who's queued up for the Tosca has moved to the dreaded *Cargo is in Waitlist Status. I'll take that as a good sign.

Hey For those on the Carmen... it has left NYC so all the NY bound MINIs are on US soil.... YAY and for those of us waiting to the Carmen to get to SC... (like me) it is on her way.... and again I say YAAAAYYYY!!!!!!

Like always, I keep checking to see if I can find the ISOLDE, but of course no luck. As the mini's have been at sea for 12 days now, I'm assuming that the boat is about ready to go through the Panama Canal now, if it hasn't already.

Has anyone else on the ISOLDE heard anything about estimated delivery date? I talked to my MA yesterday, and she said that most likely my MINI would get up to Portland within 2 weeks of hitting the port, BUT that also depends on what kind of backlog there may be at the VPC, and where my MINI is in ling to get off the boat.

It's getting close!! Only 7 more days until the ISOLDE is supposed to hit the shore!!

 

Oh Yeah!! Finally "discharged" onto good 'ol american soil at last! Thanks Carmen, safe voyage to Charleston.

To all the others that joined "Taz" on the ride over on Carmen, congratulations. I hope we're all motoring about the east coast within a week or so.

Merle O' has been 'discharged' as well - looks like he rolled off the Carmen at about 3:20 yesterday afternoon...

Congrats to all that have been discharged from the Carmen. I've already done this but it's worth mentioning to those that may have not thought about it. Get with your MA if you don't want them to put dealer stickers on your cars. I believe they put on the front tag holder as well at the dealership. Luckily my dealer didn't have a problem with this as they don't use dealer stickers and don't put a front tag holder on the MCS.

Thought it was worth mentioning. :smile:

Drago's jumped ship as well Another week or so to be put through his paces at the distribution center and he'll get a ride west. Man this is great!

My car still shows "booked". Don't know if it means anything but I noticed that,
for Cargo Numbers TD*****, the most cars received at dock on or before Apr. 17 are not "Waitlist Status". Many cars received at dock on or after Apr.18 are
"Waitlist Status".

Does anybody know what the "TD" or "TC" in the VIN No. means?

If you look back on page 16 or so of the CWFM club you can see that some of the crowd ahead of us on the Carmen and Isolde asked the same question, but I don't see an answer anywhere. I dropped by Motor City MINI today and they told me that they have 31 MINI's on the Carmen! Looks as if Drago will have plenty of company on his cross country trek. They said that BMW will be trying to deliver all of them before the end of the month, (then they can invoice).

It might be fun to get together with May Club Tosca People in my part of the world;
maybe sometime this summer.

WOOOO HOOOO!!!! I am booked on the Tosca as well! I was getting worried because I knew my MINI had finished production at least a week ago but I have been checking the WW site but it had no info for my VIN. But today I checked again, expecting no info, but much to my surprise, it said "booked on Tosca". Now I don't feel so left out! :smile:

The schedule on the WW site says the Tosca is due in Charleston on 5/4.

The long wait is winding down!

Also, my input in the VIN # question...I have TE in my VIN and I ordered an MC.

 

My MCS is a TD. Maybe that's what the D or E mean after all...

Hello... just an old December clubber checking in on what's going on in the clubhouse these days!

We too debated the VIN# significance of TE, TC, and TD and the answer was:

TC= MC 5 speed transmission
TD= MCS
TE= MC CVT

Good luck to all those still waiting!
