Hi All!

Just wanted to stop by and say hi.

My car is running a bit ahead of schedule.I had a production date of 4/4,but the plant is being too efficent, the car was produced during the 3/28 week.My car might arrive at the dealership in April. But have no fear,I started this group,I will see it all the way to the end.

Anyway,my Mini seems to be anti-social.It's been loaded and unloaded on two cargo ship already. The car obviously like it there,or is waiting for friends to catch up.

This might seem strange but,I want the car to be held up awhile.I want to say some more money. If it arrived by June,it would be perfect.

According to the Owners' Lounge, I am now AWAITING TRANSPORT! Does anyone know approximately how long it will be before my MINI is in my possession? It will be arriving at the NYC Port. And eventually at MINI of Towson. Any ballpark guesses anyone? Thanks!

Anyone know if the prod number signifies anything? My number is lower than Airwolf yet he's on a ship already. Why are all these 040403 prod date cars getting loaded and mine is sitting in the prod line drinking alone?

Me too! I just checked in at MiniUSA and I've moved to Scheduled for production and have a vin. I e-mailed MiniUSA the other day and they said "Your car is estimated to be complete the week ending April 18."
I'm glad I can share this news with the CWFMC, my wife and coworkers think I'm nuts.

Is the O.L. site REALLY slow in updating? I have a prod# of 3741594 with a scheduled build date of today... but it still says "scheduled for production" :???:

I am jealous, I see many of you guys with 4/4 build dates, and your car is progressing...faster. Must.....have......patience......

Same boat as you Veak - prod date of today but as of yesterday was in the paint shop per ASK MINI. They said it would be done today but not to exepct the site to be updated.

Wow - as soon as 3 weeks!?!?!? I really can't believe this! The wait is almost over! What boat will your MINI be on? I just noticed that the dates for the Carmen were pushed back a day! So now my MINI will be sitting at the Southampton docks until 4/14

If you had a 4/4 production date and are still showing as Scheduled for Production on the OL website then check the Wallenius Wilhelmsen website. I just did and I have been received at the terminal and am booked for the Isolde on 4/11. They are a bit faster with the updates. I just hope that I actually make it onto the ship next Friday. Early/Mid-May is looking good.

Woohoo!!!! I called ASKMINI on Thursday and was in the paint shop but today I show as waitlisted in Southampton for the Isolde. Hopefully I'll make it on to the April 11th sailing!

Looks like Airwolf and I will be sailing together to the West Coast!

Looks like I'm on the ISOLDE with you, but I don't know about getting the car by "early" May... the ISOLDE is due into Port Huneme on May 1, and people in other "can't wait for" threads report their cars have been stuck at the VPC there for as much as three weeks before getting transported to their dealer... and when mine finally makes it to Tacoma, WA my dealer has to install the alarm system for me... I am hoping realistically to get my MINI on Saturday, May 24.

Three weeks? Ouch! I have to fly from Portland to Utah to get mine which could put me into June - and I initially started the can't wait for March club! I sure as hell hope they don't sit at the VPC for too long.

Ok, I'm a newbie and this is my first post. I ordered my MCS 2 weeks ago and I have a 4/18 production date for an all Dark Silver MCS (DS/DS) with sport package and multi-function steering wheel. I drove the MCS when they first arrived but wanted to wait until they got the bugs out of the first year run before I ordered. I'm not sure they have all the problems resolved yet, but I'm tired of waiting. I'm a die hard Porsche fanatic, but I'm selling my 83 911 Cabriolet (5th Porsche I've owned) for the MCS. Some people think I'm nuts, but I'm here to tell you the MCS is MORE FUN to drive!

One question: The MINIUSA site also still shows me as on-order. I have seen references to the ASK MINI phone line. What's the number?

866-ASK-MINI

Where did you order from? It took me 5 months to get a prod date and I'm even buying out of state!

Realistically you are right but hey, let me have a little optimism here. Actually, there was a Can't Wait for March member that used the same dealer (Niello), had a February 7 production date and they took delivery on March 12. I figure that was probably about as good as it gets. Since my dealer does not need to install anything and has been known to deliver on the same day as arrival I am hoping for a May 10 - 17 delivery.

Is it possible I won't see the car before June - sure, but that would really suck. I am already looking at some leisurely road trips this summer up your way and would really like to get a few miles in before heading up the coast.
