>> Seriously.I've heard that there is a hugh backlog of cars at the port in NYC.Until the backlog is taken care of,I guess my car will sit on the docks.
>>
Hey Oilman,

I just surfed over from the April Club to see how y'all were doing. I'm in my last stage panic/desperation phase, offloaded in Charleston TODAY!

I noticed that you mentioned a large backlog slowing down cars progress through the VDC in NY, have you heard anything about SC? I feel bad for the motorers jacked up in NY, but I have to admit I would feel worse if that was the case in SC (where shadowfax is...) Any info would be appreciated, gotta get that car to Texas before I go Nutser (1 step past nuts!)

Good luck with your cruise!

I am coming into SC so hopefully there are no backlogs for that port of entry.... I feel bad for the NYC crew... must be selling more MINIS up north and less down south.......

That's great news Lastwave. Mine has been loaded as well. I'm sure they both have a drink and are sitting by the pool watching the others load. This is a cruise line isn't it?

Just checked WW, all of the TE**** MINI's have now been loaded. Only a hundred or so to go before Drago is loaded. I'll have Drago drop by the pool with some Black & Tans for a little Bon Voyage party.

Sooo excited. 44 more days... but who's counting. Been coming to this site for months and can't believe I am now a "member"! Thought I'd never find a suitable replacement for my '88 Fiero, but now that I've driven/ordered my MCS, I realize I was just holding out for that perfect vehicle! Ordered mine on 3/30 and they are giving me an arrival date of 5/28. After figuring I'd be waiting for 4-5 months for it, I was so pleased to hear it would only be 2! (But as it is - the days are ticking by so slowwwwly!) Just in time for summer fun - Glad to be here!

SPECS: MCS Chili Red/White, Premium and Cold Weather pkgs, 17" all-season run-flats

I'm still on "waitlist" status. It says I'm booked. My number begins with TC; doesn't C come before D and E. Do you think my Mini is out grabbing a case before she sets sail.

Lastwave, what dealer did you buy from? I got mine at Patrick near Chicago.

Okay, I'm starting the chant: LOADED, LOADED,LOADED, LOADED, LOADED, LOADED, ...

feeling better already.

I'm still 'Awaiting Transport' on the MINIUSA site too but I'm trusting the WW site over them. I haven't found the ISOLDE cruising the either - maybe it has some other call sign? Maybe it's the one out in the middle called 'Ship'

I'm booked for the Carmen, but aurgh! They have me "*" Cargo is in waitlist status" on the track by booking number page. What are my chances of being loaded? Should I be chanting the chant.

Help! When you look at the WW site and it shows your info, is there always a little asterisk with "cargo is on waitlist status" at the bottom of the page?

I thought this meant my car was waitlisted, but since there is no asterisk next to my ID# perhaps the car is on the ship. Have I been misreading the page?

eep.
that doesn't sound promising...

please be assured that, if you were left back,
the other hundreds of minis on the carmen
were all on deck showering those left on the dock with
confetti and streamers a la the love boat.

Yep Bird I think we have been left on the dock. My page looks the same. If you copy the booking number and change tracking to, by booking number, paste in the number and track. then shift through the list of cars to find yours. When I did this that nasty asterisk was right there beside my ID#. Big bummer. Unless our status changes fast, we have to wait for the next boat with all the other MINIs Carmen left behind........ Let's all party on the dock
