Same here Lastwave, but 60's and sunny. It also doesn't help that for the last two days I have seen a BRG/W MC and a Black/W MCS. I don't normally see Mini's running around here since the dealership is about 100 miles away.

I just have to sell my car first and that's taking up some of my waiting time. Figure I would get more that way instead of trade in. Anyone want to buy a non-Mini car?

I've got to get rid of a lemon GM car.

Whoohoo! Mini in May.

Can't wait. I keep checking the website hoping it's status will change from On Order.

Six Months and waiting.

After Nigel bounds off the boat, I will be selling a 1991 Honda Civic base hatchback with about 92k miles. It is a good honest little car with life left in it, and I had $1000+ worth of work done to it in January to set it up for the future. I am looking for about $2000 for it, and since it offers a 34mpg commute in a world of $2.00+ gasoline I am hoping it shouldn't be too hard to sell. If you know anyone in the Seattle/Everett area who might be in the market around Memorial Day, drop me a line...

It is sooo hard having to wait for May to come, particularly because I live within jogging distance of Keeler MINI in upstate NY and I constantly see them test driving MINIS around my house!

I have a 2001 Mustang V6. It shouldn't be too hard to sell as I'll make sure to mention a lot about averaging 25mpg.

I just recieved my production # last night. Prod. date of 4/18/03 due in mid May. Ordered Electric blue w/ black top MCS, all three packages, Harmon Kardon, Lapis blue interior, silver dash, panther blk door casings, aero kit, alarm system, and will get the luggage as well. I just could not wait any longer on the waiting list here in Denver so I went out of state to get one ordered alot sooner, now I find it hard to wait for May to get here.

Unfortunately we don't have a car to sell, so that can't take up any of my time before may arrives. I don't know about anybody else, but I've never been so excited to get a car. I check the owners page at least once every day, waiting for something to change. Heck, I called the ASK MINI number yesterday just to see if they knew anything else.
They said that the Owners Page is not very 'real time', but they are working with the webmaster to hopefully improve the site sometime soon....unfortunately the guy I talked to said that they've been trying to fix it since last year! So who knows if it will ever be any better about updating more often.
Oh well, I guess something is better than nothing!

MAn, if I had it my way, there would be a TON of cool stuff on there, and it would be real-time. Imagine having cameras at every part of the build process...you could watch the feed real-time, and they would send you digital photos when you car passed through each major station..... ohhh, here comes the drool...........

Yeah, someone else had made mention of having pictures taken, and I took it one step further so that there would be a live feed. And if I could record it, so I could keep it forever, oh man, would that be cool!

So has anyone's status changed from "On Order"?

Wow! I hadn't checked my status in a day, and my Production number dropped down to 4/4/03!!! Has anybody else's changed in the last day?

Min is still listed as "on order" but my estimated production date has dropped to 4-11-03. Cool.

They better.

I saw a black/white Mini the other day here. Until I saw that combination in person I didn't realize how good it looked. It was very nice. That's a real good combo you have there conecarver.

I'm still "estimated" for April 4... no change in "On Order" status... but as I understand the production date shown in the OL is the Friday of the week your MINI is built, I guess I could be in production as early as March 31!

I must apologize for my delinquency. We (wife and I) ordered our MCS Feb. 28 and received our production number before we left the dealer. The production date (according to miniusa.com) is 4/4/03. We are anxiously awaiting a Liquid Yellow MCS w/ white roof/mirrors and wheels (17&quot. It will be equiped with everything except the navigation system and leather seating.

The car is going to her daily driver, but rest assured that I will "exercise" the MCS on a local mountain road

Anyway, my brother is getting married June 7 so the car better be ready well before that or we will have a problem. The problem is we signed a statement that we will pick up the car once it is at the dealer within 5 days or the end of the month, whichever comes first. We are crossing our fingers that it will be ready by end of May.

Evidently the order # doesn't corrolate with the porduction date. I've noticed that my order #3743179 is lower than some others, but alas, no production date yet. BTW, anyone order or have seen in person the Tartan Red interior? I'm thinking of changing to it with the anthracite trim.

Thanks SB.... Originaly I was set on BRG/white but the wife (an interior designer) in particular was not fond of the metalic nature of that color.... she offered up the black/white option and after some thought we went for it.... I still like the green ones alot though....

flash,
I'm a Marcher. Just picked up my CR/B with Tartan red interior & anthracite trim. It looks really sharp. Thought at first it would be too much, but it is really nice looking. Don't have a pic right now but will get one & post it for you.
