>>Good morning!
>>
>>My name is Meghan, and I'm the newest member of the Can't Wait for May club.
>>
>>My deposit went down yesterday, and I was told to anticipate a mid-March production, and a late-April to early May delivery. Being ever the pessimist, I'm sticking with this club. (It just seems crazy to me that some people who ordered before me are expecting June or later...I'll just die if I have to wait for June.)
>>
>>My new baby is a Pepper Cooper with black roof and mirrors -- chrome bumper-bits, fog lamps, red cloth interior, red panels, sport seats, DSC, cruise wheel and computer. In addition, this will be my first manual, so it should be all kinds of crazy!
>>
>>So now what do I do? Do I pace? Do I bounce? Do I visit the dealer and hang around until they get a restraining order? (If they do, will that affect my production date?) I'm going out of my head...
>>

>>It's great to be a future motor-head!
>>Meghan

Meghan,

I think it's now a waiting game......

I know what you mean about wanting to jump for joy and hang around the dealership! Just think...in a few months you'll be cruising

Hang in there with the rest of us sitting in the waiting room.

Jim

Another new club member and time seems to have sloooowed way down. It has only been two weeks and the wait is killing me. Glad to see I can share my misery.

My production number is 3702393 with a 3/23 est. production date. According to the current ultrasound (it has already changed twice), my baby looks like its going to be a:

PS/B MCS
Bonnet Stripes
Lapis Blue
Anthracite
HK
Pkgs #1, 2 & 3
Rain Sensor
Rally Lights.

Eagerly awaiting the motoring to change from dreaming to doing.

Regards

>>cheers lastwave!
>>
>>you are so right about being happy with waiting until the winter weather passes.
>>but it's still hard to be patient.
>>
>>fortunately i'm in the midst of buying a house too, so i can't just obsess
>>about my mini. the time should pass quickly.
>>
>>we'll more than likely be riding the same boat over...
>>
>>i think mini should put travel packages together so that
>>we can fly over to see the car come off the line, and then
>>ride the boat back with it...

I'm also busy with housing, selling one and looking for another and thinking about different jobs....so the wait for the mini is tolerable at this point....but all things change always...
Cheers

I'm migrating from the "april club" I held out there as long as I could..but clearly April is out of the question....I ordered an "S" BRG/Black with the premium and sport packages/rain senseing/mirror dipping.

Placed the order on 12/19, received the production number 2/23 and checked order status on MINIUSA owner's lounge the day I got my order number and it showed an estimated production date of 4/4. Yesterday it showed a production date of 4/11.

This "club" is really better in terms of weather here in Chicago as I would rather enjoy my mini with the windows and sunroof open.....

Yeay! Finally have a production number: 3744344 (right behind you, oilman) expected Date of birth, april 11! (my DOB April 15):

Name- "15"
Cooper-Velvet Red w/ Black top
Sports, Premium, and Cold Weatha (MA)
Xenon, Chrome Bumpers
Nav, and Harman Kardon
Anthracite Dash

Now the question, in the Owner's Lounge summary of my order, the anthracite dash is not mentioned- has anyone else had this problem? have tried contacting dealer, and have naturally had a shoulder-shrug response

Chrisskat77, give it a couple of days. The first time I checked OL, it didn't show any options at all. (Only things listed were model, body color, and dealer). If it's still not showing your anthracite after a week, then I'd worry about getting it corrected.

3730006 - expected DOB still 4/04/03. Is it safe to assume that cars with lower numbers are produced first?

Anyway, I can't wait!!! I've finally decided on a name: MAX. All caps, like MINI. It won't respond to Max, so make sure you have your caps lock on when you call it!

Thanks audball- i've sent an email to MINIUSA and they actually responded to me faster than the dealer- i've responded with my production number and am waiting to see if the correct interior was ordered...

Also- has anyone's expected production date been moving up at a steady pace? mine started at Apr 18, then 2 days later moved to the 11th, and then today (one day later) moved to the 4th! Anyone else noticed this? or worse, noticed the opposite? (production day moving in the wrong direction)...

Hmmm, can you peel the sticker off? I sure would hate to drive around with that thing on!

BTW, still at 4/4. My date hasn't moved at all. Must be the stripes

I've got a production number!

When I checked the OL today, my number has gone through -- I'm 3709181, expected born-on date of March 27. (Born-on date, does that sound too much like a beer to anyone else?)

Are there any other Pepper People in the May club? I don't quite understand how colour plays into production date, and it would be interesting to see if we were grouped together that way at all.

-not sure how color works- trailblazer, lastwave and i all have the same est. prod. date, but different colors and way diff. prod. numbers- my dealer has forgotten to submit the anthracite as my interior of choice, so we'll see how that affects my date...

I have been hangin out at the "can't until april club" because I ordered my car in December. They have lots of posts (29 pages now) and it seems like the information on miniusa lags the real world a little bit so if it looks like the dealer has forgotten someting--that is not appearing on miniusa list--call 1-866-ask mini and they can bring you up to date....

Who hoo!! My Fiancee and I just ordered a Indi Blue MINI Cooper on 3/1/03! We ordered the IB with White roof, Xenon, DSC, Chrome Bumper Inserts, Black Leatherette, Silver Dash, Soprt Seats, and the Multifunction Steering Wheel!

We just got our production number today, and it is 3737679, and our estimated production date of 4/11/03! Unfortunately the order summary is all messed up right now, but I'm hoping that will get fixed in the next couple of days!

Hopefully the 4/11 prod. date means that we're going to be in the ICWFM club!!!

Jimbob your sales person should be able to give you your production number. I talked with my sales person last week to put in the order and he told me to call him back this Wednesday. He said that I should get my production number that day. I really hope he has it then he estimated my MCS should be delivered in May. So for now I'm an unconfirmed member of this club.

trailblazer,
We put our down payment in on Feb. 12th, and the dealer bunched the orders together for Feb. and submitted them on the 26th. a few days later I got a welcome from MINIUSA via e-mail. But no production number yet. I'd like to call the dealer, but I feel like I'm bugging them.
I was told that I have about a week from the time that the order goes in to verify if the accessories ordered are correct.... I'd hate to wait a few weeks or, worse, a month to find out that it's being built....but something was omitted.

Dang...o.k.
I'm going to call the dealer and see if they have something...

Be back in a while.
Jimbob
