Hey everyone, I am also on the Tosca. I'm in Denver, Co. but my car is coming by way of Indianapolis, In. I will fly out and drive back. Can't wait!!!!!! Up to approx. $1500 in accessories & mods. Oh how can you find out if you were loaded?

I can feel for all of you guys that didn't make the Tosca. If it says, "Recieved at Teminal" and "Booked", then you need to look and see if there is an *Waitlist Status. Mine was in the same situation with the Carmen, but I made it on the Tosca early this morning and by now the ship is at sea and will arrive on the 5th.

I wish there was some way of tracking it beyond this point. I wonder how long it takes to get from New York to Cincinnati (probably done by rail...)

If anyone knows how to track it once it gets to the states, let me know.

I was at Jazz Fest all day, so didn't have chance to check on my load status. It looks like I made it on the Tosca. All the signs were pointing in that direction. I saw two Cooper S's (Silver/white, BRG/White) - my first S sightings since i ordered mine. Plus, my parcel shelf arrived in the mail and now, we're under sail. What a great MINI day!

Well, I guess I'm a member of 'the can't wait for May' club ---- I hope my car actually gets built, shipped, and delivered ASAP .... my Audi is off-lease June 16th! I ordered my Mini S from Global here in Atlanta on 03/28/03, got my production number the next week and am scheduled for production 05/16/03. Ordered Mini Cooper S in DS/B with the Lapis Blue intereior and all options except Nav and PDC. So, what's the general consensus ---- when will my car actually be delivered?

 

Have any Carmen passengers disembarked in SC? The W&W site doesn't show the ship as having arrived, and it's 6:45PM over there already... I'm thinking it's behind schedule. )?

Based on what I've seen. Those of us that just left port enroute to the US had a production date of 4/18. The ship docks on 5/5 and from there it depends on where you live and how long it takes to get there. I would guess that you are probably looking at mid-June sometime.

Hey Airwolf - I made an appt to pick up my MINI June 2nd (hav to go to Utah so had to take three days off) so I'm no longer looking for the boat. I'm working with my MA in making sure the car is just the way I want it:
- No dealer badging
- No front license holes (front plate not required in Oregon!)
- Programmable options set

Airwolf - Have not seen the Isolde.....got tired of looking - although I would have liked to have seen it in the Canal. My MA told me to look for delivery between the 10th and 15th so I am just hoping for a smooth ride through the Vehicle Distribution Center. With any luck we are down to the last couple weeks

My dealer sent me a fax that only had 4 options on it, so I'm searching the boards for all the options others have and will fax them back to her. Look at this thread for a pretty good idea of what options are out there.

OK - Now I'm shown "loaded on the vessel" for the Tosca and searching by VIN, I see my car listed with no * to indicate "Wait List Status". Therefore, I believe I am now sailing (please pass the Dramamine). My concern is that I am still shown as "Waiting For Transport" on the MINIUSA site. It's been over 2 days since the Tosca has sailed and I'm wondering why it hasn't changed to "In Route". Overly paranoid or legitimate concern? What status is showing for everyone else (Tosca riders) and where are you gathering that info from? Who to trust (what site)? Anxiously waiting..... NUMMYTIME

The Owner's Loung is notoriously behind. I would definately go by what is on the tracking site. For instance, I called 1-866-ask-mini about a week before i was "scheduled for production" and my MINI had already been completed. The ownder's lounge didn't change to "awaiting transport" for another 3 or 4 days. So don't fret, I'm sure you're MINI's on the Tosca right now sailng happily!

I searched the tracking site and I am still listed as "received at terminal", no mention of loading on the boat...so I'm thinking I"m probably (hopefully) going to be on the Jingu Maru sailing tomorrow.

Chrissy - Thanks for your calming words.... and all of that when you got bumped from the Tosca. I'm very impressed at your composure and selfless well wishes for me! I'm so glad to hear they have another ship sailing soon after the Tosca. Even at that, I know the waiting is unbearable. Please keep me posted that you are surely LOADED on the Jingu Maru tomorrow. (It's a cooler name than Tosca anyway!) Sounds like a Survivor tribe name. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. It's especially hard not knowing WHY you didn't sail on Tosca and no one to answer your questions regarding same. Where is your MINI going (where are you?) If it makes you feel any better, you might even be motorin' before some of us on the Tosca! Sending good vibes..... Suzie

 

Okay, I don't have anything on the cargo tracking page beyond the "booked" and "received at terminal" entries that were there on friday, so I'm guessing I "missed the boat" so to speak. I don't see anything that is asterisked (beyond the "* Cargo is in Waitlist Status" footnote below) - what would actually be asterisked if I were in waitlist status? The page still shows the Tosca/voyage # info it showed on Friday. If I missed the Tosca, and thus should be bumping over to the Jingu Maru, should the tracking page show that by now?

I checked the WW site the first thing this morning and I have been loaded onto the Jingu Maru. I'm glad to at least know that I'm on a boat, but it sucks that I missed the Tosca! According to the site, I was loaded onto the Tosca and then unloaded...argh!!! The Jingu Maru isn't scheduled to be in Charleston until May 12, so I have an extra week of waiting...oh the anguish! It shouldn't take very long to get from Charleston to Jacksonville, FL where I am (only about a 4 hour drive).

Oh well, time to get back to work!

Wow, I hope my MINI gets to Portland befor June 2nd! I'm hoping for the middle of May, and when I talked to my MA, she said that was very likely.

I'd call the DMV to make sure, but I'm 99% sure that front license plates are required in Oregon. I could not find the info on the Oregon DMV site, but I did get a couple of google hits saying that front license plates are required all along the west coast.

So what programmable options are available? I've seen them somewhere, but I can't remember what they are now.

Long time lurker - first time poster... My order went in at the end of Feb 2003 and I had an April 11 build completion for an MCS.

BUT - I have been removed and waitlisted from not only the Carmen, but also the Tosca and now the J.M.

What is going on with this? I really love/hate the tracking system...

How many others have been subjected to such cruel torture? Is my MCS afraid of the saltwater, trying to get its sea-legs together?
