I found a great deal from a fellow mco member who was selling his slightly used Rogue exhaust and Vipercross intake for a great price.

I sent him a check Friday.

Yesterday, a friend heard I was getting a new MINI and wants to buy my VW.

A neighbor saw my son's gym in my garage and wants to buy it. I needed to get rid of it to make room for the MINI.

What a great weekend!

More money for mods.

Springs and a sway bar will be my next upgrades.

Red silicon radiator and vacuum hoses would be cool as well as red magnecor spark plug wires. Maybe even some other red stuff for the enginne, oil filler cap, dipstick, etc.

I am also looking at cocomats.

This is fun!

Andy

Katie - I want your family! Mine demands a list so they know what NOT to get me. EVERY time they ask me what I want and I tell them, I get something completely opposite

'well... we wanted to surprise you!'

Sick! They're SICK!

Can you tell it runs in the family?

Chef,
I called ASKMINI to see if Motor'nMAX made it out of the pubs this weekend. I was told that he was waiting to be assigned to a ship. Any word on Shadowfax? I hope they are not being punished for having too rowdy of a weekend. They should be easily forgiven, you know it was their last one in England.

Regards,

Just went to the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Global Cargo Tracking site for the first time and found out I am booked on the TOSCA which is scheduled to arrive in SC on 4/7. The address is http://213.31.205.37/GLWebApps.AppTracking for those that have not been there yet. You use the last 7 digits of your VIN.

Sad to say, but I guess I am done calling ASKMINI anymore. If anybody from there reads this message, THANKS for all your friendly help.

Hello par4,

I went to the cargo tracking site Friday, as soon as I found out about shadowfax' birth, so I knew we made the Tosca. Hopefully the boys will have a nice trip (a few nice brews, a little shuffleboard, NO SWIMMING!) and will come home to us soon.

I think the closer they get the more impatient I am! Hang in there buddy!

Ok, which one of you hid the Captain's charts? I KNOW we were supposed to arrive on time!

I'm considering a call to the Coast Guard, maybe get an escort for Carmen. Anyone have any contacts?

I'm looking for a little guidance.

My Mini Cooper was scheduled for production last Friday, the 21st. How long should I expect to wait before it hits the shores?

>>I'd love to, but that's actually my finals week. May is going to be such a hectic month for me, I don't think I'll even make it around here much, which is probably good cuz then I won't be too aware of what I'm missing out on.
>>
>>You know, I've been wondering, where the Heck have Kelisa, MichealD, Bbuskas and Birdie been the past couple of days?????? You don't think there out motoring already do you?

Sorry!!! Not motoring over here. Got a little consumed with the March Madness this weekend and while busy doing work at home. Then was sick...blah blah blah. But OL just bumped me up to at the Distribution Center with scheduled delivery of 3/20. Real good guys..you are not tricking anyone! My car should make it to Indianapolis early this week. Then I have to arrange to ship it out here. NOt going ot be ablt to pick it up back there it turns out. Work is too busy now.

Just as I was responding to my echoing call into the deep abyss of the internet...i got an e-mail from my MA who said my car will be in the last week this month. Considering there are only 8 more days I'm expecting it later this week!

Well i snapped some quick pics of the infamous first dent/scratch at the body shop. i was pressed for time, so i didn't really take any good ones, just these two. i shoulda panned out some to catch the real damage, it's kinda hard to see how bad it actually is from these...

>>I'm in NY but taking delivery in Peabody. Mass, so it's totally backwards. Anyway, no matter how long it take to get to the dealer, my car is still going to take about a week longer, since I'm getting a bunch of dealer add-on stuff.

Well, Katie, if the extra week gets to be too much for you, I could go up to Peabody once it's there and snap some pics of your baby if you'd like... I'm not sure if that'd make the wait worse, though...

Welcome to MCO GHawk24!
If your MINI's production date was 03/21, it is already built, and most likely waiting at the docks in Southampton for a boat (most likely the Tosca, since you're near DC). You can expect your MINI the 2nd week of April. Feel free to share your info with us!! Cooper or S? What colors and options did your order?

Welcome to The April Club!

Cheers,
Ryan

It's getting intense here.

My fiance took me out driving this weekend. It was my first time on a manual, and his WRX is still cherry. (I think he now wants the MINI to come in more than I do.) We went out to a big parking lot that wraps around a local church, and crossing ourselves for safety, I took the car for a spin.

No stalls! That was my biggest worry, and it doesn't seem to be a problem for me. I buck a little shifting in motion, but it seems to be more from giving too little throttle than from any clutch issues.

The shift distance on the WRX seems huge compared to how tight and trim the movement was on the MINI gearbox I played with. Those of you who have test-driven the manual MINI, how do you feel about the shifting? Should it be easy or hard for me to adjust, based on the car I'm learning on?

My goal is to be good enough by the time I get to the dealership that I can at least drive us out of the showroom and the lot. I think I'll let the boy drive it the rest of the way home on the interstate! There's no sense in killing us before we even really get motoring...

Rye,

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, this Mini Cooper is for my wife, not me! We ordered a BRG Cooper with White roof and bonnet stripes, CVT, Luxury and Winter pckgs., DSC, xenon. Mini of Towson actually had already ordered it, and we put a deposit down on one they were getting in. I didn't get everything I wanted in it, but it cut down the wait time.

I wish the sport package had been ordered, as they want $1500 for 16" wheels. Anyone think I can negotiate that, or am I better off dealing with the Tire Rack? I had a good experience buying tyres for my GTI from them a couple of years ago.

Ry -

Saw your 'Wish List'. I've already ordered the glove box organizer and hot pocket. Still need to order EBC Green Stuff pads (especially with my white wheels). The lights you're talking about, is that a clear center brake light?

Not much to report here...

Undine docked and unloaded on 3/21. The OL has not been updated yet (big surprise ) so I don't have an EDD yet.

Just saw this , and don't think i ever answered... the hotpocket at least looks nice in that empty space and comes in handy when i need to put something somewhere. occassionally my cell goes there, if it's on the charger (in the cupholder when not charging). I think now there is a bag of jolly ranchers, well actually there's just a business card of the body shop she's at, which by the way I hope she's okay at! she's got a delorian, a mercedes, a z3, and some hunks of junk there to keep her company.

just killing time in the office before class,

ryan

The Tosca is currently sailing to Southhampton. For those who will be on board, let's hope for another on schedule departure.

How long does it normally take from port to delivery? I am going on vacation 6 days after the scheduled port arrival and would love to have Motor'nMAX.

Regards,
