You aren't going to see any, it is one of the combos that looks so bad they won't let you order it

I just saw one at the last run... actually did NOT look that bad More white roofs on that run than Ive ever seen.... there were more white roofs than body color and black roofs combined

 

It's not a "white" roof like the contrasting-color option on the configurator, it's the same Pepper White as the body.

 

No, I saw one with a WHITE roof.... like in the Italian Job

 

I wouldn't doubt JCampos, he does have a PW MINI afterall (and a hot one at that).

According to MINI its not possible, trust me i wanted an all pure white MINI which i thought was like the one in the italian job. But i was corrected many times and shown that the cooper in the Italian job is a PW on PW Cooper with Aero kit. PW MINI's when photographed look bright white, its actually pretty hard to get the off white of the car in the picture. Also if its a bright day it will look REALLY white.

You CANNOT get PW with Bright white roof, You can get a PW with PW roof like mine:







I also asked the NAM community a while back if people would be interested in an all Roof white MINI:

Sorry, but youre wrong. This car was pepper white, with a WHITE roof. Maybe it was custom done, or maybe it was a white decal for the roof, but this thing was definetely PW/W

 

You always have the freedom to buy a PW/PW MINI and then take it to a reputable body/paint shop and have them paint the roof and mirror caps in the brightest white paint they offer. Why not?

Im sure if you told an MA that you wanted PW/W, they might give you a bit of a hassle and tell you youre stupid.... but ultimately they would do it.

It was most likely custom painted (why? who knows) but trust me. I tried and tried with my local dealer and ASK MINI on getting my MINI in all roof white. They will not do it. Now if your dealer decides they will do it once it arrives at the dealer thats a different story. But you CANNOT get Roof white on a PW car from the factory. They stand strictly by the restrictions of the configurator.

I pleaded with them for the longest that i didn't want my 05' with body colored mirror caps since my 04' had black mirror caps. I wanted them in black from the factory and they simply wouldn't do it. So my local dealer is just going to swap them when the car arrives to black the way i want it.

 

In my opinion PW/W would just look odd, like somehow they screwed up matching the roof paint. PW/Blk is definitely a sweet combination and quite possibly would be what my MCSc would be if it was available.

Oh, and by the way Jcampos, not to accuse you of being wrong but if you were talking about the Tour of Napa Valley and if it was parked in front of the winery, it was PW/PW and I have a pic to prove it.

 

There were 3 PW cars... me with black roof, one with PW roof, and one with a WHITE roof.

 

Whoa ok everybody, calm down. Now i don't doubt that JCampos saw what he saw especially with how confident he is about it. But i think the agruement has strayed, it was if they made them at all which we know they don't.

It looks like someone had theirs custom done for some reason but you cannot get it from the factory like that. Its that simple.

Unless we can get a shot of the (most likely) one and only PW/W in existence, you won't get any pics. As mentioned, PW/W would be a questionable combo (by MINI terms) so if you want to see one, or drive one, you'll have to go through some extraordinary steps to make it so. Personally, I don't think it's worth it. Aesthetically, a much stonger case can be made for PW/PW. But this is an objective view only...your personal tastes may run differently, and that's okay by me.

 

You could always cover a PW roof with white vinyl. ("Vinyl" meaning 3M stuff used for graphics, not a Landau top!)

Personally, I think all pure white would be a good color for the "lightweight" GP edition MINI.

 

 

Its not that unusual, I see PW/PW Coopers and MCSs around the Bay Area all the time - so there are at least 1 of each running around and parking all over San Francisco and Marin

 

I have to stick up for my fellow PW/PWer here and say that it is actually possible to get a factory PW/W. When I ordered mine my MA said they sold one. I have not seen it in person, but was told it did exist. I do agree with others that I do not think it would look right.
