Looks like they are clumsily aping Volk CE28 which is also now more commonly found as the uglier 10 spoke variant.
CE28 is insanely lightweight:
Specs: 15X7, 4X100 PCD, +38 offset, Weights 4.15 kg or 9.149 lbs per wheel
But also massively expensive! $$$
Your correct. That lesser spoke design was their old one but funny how this seller didn't change his picture or adjust his price either. Scandalous if you ask me..
I'm proooooooooobly going to go with one of these.. gimme ur votes guys. I put them in order from my favorite at the top.. the BIG issue with the lenso rims are their offset is only like a et40 so they'll require spacers to sit as flush as I'd like AND they're almost 2x the price of any of the others.. but they sure do look sweeeeeet and they're the lightest too by a few lb per rim..
i think the big price is shipping , i csnt find them anywhere in the u.s for anything under 700$.
man that pic sold me ! If the seller doesnt do an exchange for those 2nd rins ( audohan ) i really really wanna try to afford the Lenso rims...lol someone BUY MY PORTED SC.. HELP fund the cause..
I installed the bmw v12 throttlebody today and wired up and installed the dual pods for my boost gauge and afr wgen I get it..check out my idea I came up with to make the Y for the boost line. This new rubber press fitting fit much tighter than the stock junk and if you use 90' needle nose pliers it makes it very easy. You can get slack from the line coming off the fpr under the intake Manifold..
I also was hearing a very loud ticking and i knew it wasnt the timing chain but i narrowed it down the the breather valve. That thing was chattering away , I couldn't believe how loud it was.
what vere odd is i still have no cel from installing the catless header. Ive driven it around more than enough so idk...
I hope it's ecu isn't failing and that's the reason for the trac n abs dummy lights.. i guess it is a common symptom so i guess time will tell.. lol gives me an excuse to upgrade to the facelift ecu though when i get it tuned by the main man adriancl.
I can't seem to find them cheaper than this anymore..looks like they're price is increasing now that us mini guys are buying them .. almost 3x years ago when I first found these , they were like 50$ only new and just progressively increased in price..if you want drop me a text and I can give you my guys info who custom makes the intakes too if you need one.. They're cheap enough but take 3x weeks to make and arrive
Trust me though , you'll want the throttle controller with it.. stock has a little dead pedal but the v12 tbody has 2x the dead pedal feeling. It doesn't add any power , just xhanges throttle input settings BUT imo it does help alot in terms of driviability and keeping revs high between shifts..it's only 30$ now but I'm sure those will go up too. The ebay name brand version, when yiu can find it has already 4x in price so buying it non car spefic ( not tagged to a mini ) it seems to keep the price down. I gotta order one for my other mini still.
i hate that companiessee that these were once expensivelittle cars so they think the price of aftermarket parts should coincide..... dumb

that's what I ended up doing..lol the company sent me a tracking label thats refusing to be scanned and customer support also cannot get it to work either. The seller has refused to send another or even answer us so if he doesnt by the 16th then I will be issued a refund without having to ship them back.. I don't want them but maybe I could trade them or hook somebody up on a sweet deal then.
but I finally sold my sc off this car , I had to port it and the ic horns inorder to get it sold but ah well. A little extra work to make a few extra bucks and give the buyer something much better is better.. sooooo now I was able to just reorder another set of rims , since the model I wanted is no longer available I found and settled on these rims.. They're light enough and I like they way they look and should be easy to keep clean too..lol they were pretty cheap too because they're an older model but if they give Me the new model like with what I'm going through on my other rims , with these idc because I like the newer model better it was just more than I wanted to spend.
i purchased a big TB a few weeks ago. Have not installed it yet. This what I bought (w advice from others)
that might be the 70mm one im not positive.. I order the 03-08 bmw v12
. I've gotten one befor that was listed similar and it ended up being too large..though I can't seem to find the listings for the 03-08 any longer , odd
I got the facelift gp tuned ecu and installed it today and test drove it awhile..
in gear it felt GREAT BUUUUT after driving for awhile the eml light came on and as I went into neutral coasting to a stop sign the idle began fluctuating from like 200-1500rpm and then stalled.. it fired RITE back up and no cel or eml but I drove it home because it was getting dark and ille 2x check nothing got unplugged or something when I swapped ecu's..
New tailights are in , I still gotta get the blacked out led sidemarkers in. I also got the rear vent scoops and painted them. The convertible strut bars also were in the package and I repainted them too.
I put on the towhook that dude through in for me ( thank you Chamblerlin1 ! ) . I got all the things from him in trade.
I was pleasantly surprised to find NO CORROSION what so ever behind the rear taillights. This cars body is suuuuuper solid. Just a few paint defects ille fix over time.
ah yea , i put on the new hoodstruts FINALLY.
The more I dig into this car the happier I am with the purchase..
So after the intercooler swap..idk why but omfg , the cars though it lost 1lb of boost it pulls just as hard but runs much cooler buuuut it runs sooooooo smooth. I can't believe it , I know the r53 is kind of a jerky car in 1st gear riding slowzits the nature of them BUT this car DOESNT . It's so incredibly smooth.. maybe because the gp tune incorporates a larger intercooler and maybe it actually really needed that intercooler on. You'd think that small of a difference in the tune wouldn't make a difference BUT it obviously does.
I put on the convertible support braces too and used touch-up paint on the front bumper and it now looks 1000x better.. o ya , I put on the rear cowl vents.. gowd I love them things , they're my favorite visual/functional modification for these cars..
Unfortunately my Grey car is under the knife trying to sort out braking issues , I'm attempting to put a new booster in it..UGH..
Taillights surrounding trim has been installed. I also put on side flares I used to have on my other mini and I removed the spoiler and am in the process of painting it. It's being painted the mini color pepper white to match the car..imo I wouldn't have liked it gloss black , maybe if the roof had been black but the whole car is white so it had to match...lol the EXPENSIVE paint , you think 1x can should atleadt ne able to do a spoiler BUT NOPE. Lol not even close , so I had to put them up and order another can. I also think I'm gonna use that 2x step 2k clear coat where it needs to actually be mixed so it creates a much more long lasting finish and closer to oem then too.
I installed the blacked out led sidemarkers today since it was 76'F out , absolute beautiful day..gowd I can't wait for summer !
I also gave the car a wash and cleaned the rims n tires very well..
I had to order another can of paint match spraypaint since the stuff didn't even cover my spoiler fully and it was a 12oz can of primer and base so I got another can of base and clear so ille have both cans of clear on hand when it's ready to clear coat it..
Hold up. Where did you get BFGs in 225/50R15? Also, how’s clearance? I’ve wondered how fitment would be with 225s.
if the rims offset was any different the tires would either stick out past the fenders or hit the inside wheel well.. the offset if et33 I believe the guy told me.
but the tires have about about 1/4 in of gap at full turn on the inside wheelwell and they sit dang near perfectly flush to the fenders..
and idk where he got the tires but they wrre going to he used on his monster miata ( gt40 5.0 miata).. it funny BOTH my minis have muscle car tires lolol. This one has the bfg and other has indy firehawks..
I finished paint matching the spoiler...imo it looks WAYYY better now. I also started buffing out scratches and paint defects so soon the car will be a marshmallow once again.
Exhaust is alot quiter now..lololol i installed the header gasket backwards when i put on the headers so i had to replace that as you could cleeeeeeeearly hear an Exhaust leak aaaaaaand a cel popped on pertaining to an exhaust leak too while cruising back home the other day.
I took the car upto my cottages and I got 31mpg on the way up and 28mpg on the way back..lol AWESOME.
BUUUUT it began making a clunking noise in the front right and I didn't see anything if concern but I believe it's the upper strut mount.. soooooo my papers i found in the car , what ever suspension and steering wasn't replaced I ordered new stuff to replace it with..I ALSO filled the control arms like I love doing to stiffen and strengthen them...
I will hoooooopefully start tearing stuff off this weekend...I will spray everything with penetrating lube tonight and get a fresh butane bottle before I start..
