no wories its under my shop bench covered in *****. Didnt care for it either. Just figured you like carbon so.... If your ever on your way to twin cities you can just have it. Shipping would not be worth it and I have no plans to go anywhere near the dells even let alone down by you. But again if your passing into the cities I can meet you.

by chance do you still have ur front mount setup ? Or just the extra ic for it ??? I'd kinda be interested in running a front mount with your ic you have but idk if anybody has or will sell me just the horns to adapt the ic n piping to.

 

yup I still have just the intercooler. Amazing piece. Welds are tight tight tight *per Tuco The elbows sneak on the sides of the rad and work trick!

 

I saw that last week but we were discussing something a bit more pertinent and I didn't want to veer off-topic, since you mentioned it, how's it working out for you? Do you have issues in extreme cold temps? Are you re-routing the captured fluid back into circulation? Is the clean side capped, vented or just running like normal? do tell

 

non vented so there's no vacuum leaks. I just wait until it gets 1/4 full snd unscrew it and empty it. It has a built in filter also. I sealed the pressin pressure release on the bottom too just encase.
it actually works very well.. ive never had any issues cold starting either of my cars with their catchcans but the coldest temps my project rice sees has been mid 40s and sofar the coldest since it's been on the aero was low 30s.. but even then , ive never had any issues at all...
they cut down on the amount of oil build up in the intercooler massively. Then imo that in return helps keep flow up and iats down abit.

 

do you by chance have the horns ?? I'd be interested in working a deal out for my cam and cash for that ic and the adaptions.

 

I printed the charger outlet and fabbed the inlet. Its not hard. But no I have nothing left other than the intercooler. 150 bucks and its yours. Selling all my cams as well. I almost stuck it on wifes civic. I sold the design to another person who was going to bring it to market. That being said I think he bought the design to kill/shelf it as he was doing one himself to sell. So I think he just bought mine to kill competition. After I brought it to you earlier and you passed I figured well you didnt want it lol. Again the intercooler is so cheap its worth just putting up on shelf for future projects.

 

Some person crazy stalked me about that CF divertor I guess from this thread. Asked about buying it. Creeped me out why someone would infer this especially given my autisim. Super creeped out.

Went from asking you about it to pms about hardware and shipping. Big reason why I dont post anymore.

 

dang.. I find that's been the norm with aftermarket parts for these cars.. competition beats each other into nothing and starts flame wars and misinformation begins to fly... then they disappear and years later occasionally the good stuff pops up but so does the junk.
though I im not lucky enough to purchase anything good when it does , just the junk ( marion intercooler kit being 1x of them )...

and these covers were the best quality out of ANY I've purchased YET for any of my car. And they were the cheapest too off aliexpress. Instead of the typical just stick on type that'd stick on over , these actually completely replaced the trims so that it kept the correct body lines on the hood and headlights.. I'm actually very impressed with my ali purchases for the mini's.. I CANT WAIT to see what the cf fenders are going to look like for the other mini I'd ordered from there..
soon I will buy the biggest style scoop also for this car ( like I have on the other mini but not carbonfiber) and I think I'm gonna paint it pepperwhite instead if gloss black..

 

Soooooo bad new , I went to load up the car today to help my buddy with a roadside repair and when I pulled out , car was fine , then I went to pull into the spot infront of my garage and as I was pulling forward I was easing off the clutch and then I heard a LOUD POP and suddenly it felt like I was in nuetral.. SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIT !
I have NO gears , NONE ! I can even put it in gear without the clutch and it won't even grind or anything ,though it goes in gear.. I will upload a video tomorrow and look into it.
I was busy today doing a starter , then alternator in a gas station parking spot to help a buddy out.. this sucks so much too because until the 1st , I need to save every dollar I get to get a tvs900 for the other mini ( trading turbo kit n cash for it )..so unfortunately nothing is going to happen with the car for awhile..lol F to the A ! I git a bunch of decals enroute and got a jcw valve cover plaque and badges and was gonna make it my own little jcw clone..

Maybe an axle popped out of the transmission case. Hopefully something simple like that

i also did about a 50/50 fluid change too because i inspected that too and it looked normal.

Car will be getting NEW sparkplugs and NEW 380cc injectors AGAIN..and a new drivers side axle. I figured better safe than sorry and am just replacing it as a whole instead of just adding a lock ring.
I was working on a buddies car and it was running dangerously lean so i took out my injectors abd plugs to put in his to help it.. he'd had massive vacuum leaks and oem heat range plugs and fuelinjectors and even with just a 17% pulley and few other mods , it was literally turning the sparkplugs white as snow. I'm willing to bet the guy that'd tuned it just jacked up timing and throttle input.. I told him , tune via adriancl but he didn't listen..
actually the amount if butchery ive found on his car is scary , u can't believe so called mechanics could let a car out the door with so much hodgepodge work..
like the ac compressor was on with 1x bolt abd wiggling around which destroyed his crank pulley , vacuum lines just pushed into boost tube without the red retaining clips to hold them in , didn't put on throttlebody bracket so it's cracked the boost tube and leaks there too becausethe tube wasnt supported and who ever put on his intake pushed it down so hard they broje the boost tube, had wrong heat range sparkplugs for mods. We won't even talk about the suspension I had to go over too because that was scary... but geez , cmon people ! I hate that way of thinking " well , it's not mine so I don't care " and the " just get err done" attitude.. NO , YOU SHOULD CARE and yea get it done BUT DO IT RITE the 1st time. Once I install my ported sc and intakes I did for him on his car , ille be able to fix most the hackery that's been done to his car.. haha his cars had me busy for awhile now , I been neglecting my poor little buggers.
unfortunately around here unless you go to the dealer, most shops will outrite refuse to work on an r53.. why ? Idk...... but imo , these are pretty easy cars to work on , sure is ALOT easier than my thunderbirds and mark8's id used to play with were..

 

Put in new copper plugs and new fuel injectors because I sold the ones out to help a buddy get his engine running safely.
Check out my 10$ oil change !!!! I bought it all from the salvage yard , I found it in the trunk of a mini after I'd finally pryed down the rear seats and found this to my surprise. Also see how little oil I get on my hand when I drop the oil ??? GOTTA LOVE the Quickdrain plug.
I also put in a new driver's side axle so now it has a ccclip it shouldnt come out again...
I also put on a bunxh of jcw logos and am making this car my own take on a jcw.. some gonna love , most gonna hate it but i like it and i drive it so it is what i want..I'm still waiting on the red intake too.
