OUT OF THIS STINKIN' CLUB!
Yep, I got bumped. Seems the transport company that was supposed to get my car from Dallas to Tucson *last* weekend decided instead to drag it all around the great state of Texas. It's been everywhere from Houston to Bullock and is currently somewhere just outside the dealership in Dallas where it began. The dealer does not wish to focus on the detours, but rather blames the delay on a 2-day storm.

OK, day one status
Lots o' rain here in the Valley of the Sun. My MCS is quite dirty!
110 miles today in less than 7 hours of ownership!
2 test drives for people.
2 other people came down for a look-see.
27.0 MPG since I picked it up. Not bad Not bad at all.
Love the sun-roof!
Too many gizmos and gadgets in the car to figure out today. Will need to spend more time with it.

After believeing that my dealer (or the carrier) had lost my car, I got a call late tonight that my car is "ready". So I'm picking it up tomorrow. Dealer "found" my car, prepped it, and is ready for me to claim. The last two days have been the worst part of the wait, but, it'll be over soon.

As the saying goes "OUTTA THIS STINKIN' CLUB"!!!
Picked up da MINI on Wednesday afternoon. Even with the atrocious weather I have 200 miles and a 200,000 smile. This car ROCKS!!!! I am one HAPPY camper.
As many have said previously, it was worth the wait. I haven't been this happy with a car since my first Tonka toy. The level of pleasure is soooo childlike.
Thanks to all with the support and info. And to all this coming hang in dere 'cause it be a comin'.

Hello all! Just hit 500 miles yesterday, and I was cheated by the weatherman today. They claimed snow was coming last night, so I drove my old car ('88 Saab 900), but the snow is NOT COMING! Geesh.
I finally developed and scanned a photo of Andromeda. This was the last shot on the roll, the lighthouse picture won't get developed for a little while yet.

Very nice, Wactuary!! Looks a lot like my baby Felix. Just lovely, Felix has a brother up north! :smile:
I've put about 380 miles on Felix. I haven't had the usual MINI owner experiences until today. This morning, I had someone follow me to work. It was a bit unsettling. He asked me the usual questions and such. He acted like he wanted to hop on over to the dealership today to buy one. Then, went out to lunch and someone told me that he liked my car better than a new beetle (ouch). But he did say that it looked sharp. :smile:
I love my MINI.

Just wanted to say that I too am OUT OF THIS STINKIN' CLUB!!!!!!! Made the 150 mile trip to Roadshow Mini in Memphis to pick it up. Got there and it had the wrong wheels!!! I had ordered the S-Lites in white and they came silver. Oh well! John at Roadshow will be ordering a car today specifically with white S-Lites and when it comes in I'll travel back down and we'll make the switch. Other than that, everything is perfect! Love the car. I'll post pictures ASAP (when the weather clears a bit and I can clean it up). Best of all I made it in February!!!

Did the ballon payment called MINI Select. On the MINIUSA site, you can try it out. However their algorithym is way off so don't trust the numbers there. They don't take into account residual % and APR%. Their default causes the monthly payment to be much too low. To make the payments acceptable for my financial situation, had to streach it to 48 months! But I think I'll live with having to pay that for the "smiles" I'll get.
BTW, my plates will read "HPY MTRN"!!! Can't wait to get them from the MVD.

Well I haven't been here in awhile, but the big day is tomorrow to pick up my MC :smile: (finally!) It is going to be a 7 hour trip to the dealer tomorrow aswell woo hoo . I hope I am still welcome to post pics in the CWFC thread. I am still in shock that the time is now here to pick her up This club has really helped me keep my sanity through the whole process of ordering and waiting for my first car.
BTW-Dom your MCS is HOT!!
