Greetings and welcome. I know that some of us have been waiting patiently for our MC/MCS a long time now and have recently heard some news about the production dates of our cars. Mine is 1/11/2003 which will put me into Feburary (mid to late) Delivery here on the east coast (PA)!!

We will be getting our minis just in time to get them modded and personalized right before the spring time motoring season starts! How cool will this be.

Anyone else plan on motoring around with their sun roof open as soon as they get there car, despite the weather?!

Let us all share and communicate in our last 2 months of painful waiting.

Hamster, I knew you could do it! Congrats on the founding of the February Club!

 

Got my production number yesterday, WOW it's a 1/18/03 estimated build date. Wonder how close they'll come to the date. When I put the money down, the dealer told me a Febraury build with a March delivery. Can it be true that January is the real thing?

So, if birth is given on 1/187/03, then how long until it reaches Chicago?

 

Got my production number today (order place a couple of days ago). Went to the owner's lounge and I couldn't find the production date. How can I find it?

OK, let's assume that it is 1/25/2003. Where does that put the approximate arrival date at the dealership?

 

Kinda depends on where you're at. If you're more towards the east coast, I'd say very late February based on what I've been reading in other posts.

 

I am jumping on the February bandwagon as well! I ordered my Cooper yesterday, I should get my CR/W Mini Cooper in late Feb..

Can't wait!

 

I have been awaiting the arrival of this club for a couple of weeks - our (my wife and I) order went in on 11/25/02 and we have an estimated production date of 1/18/03 (though the owner's lounge reports a production date of 1/18/02 - go figure). We just came back this evening from chatting with our favorite dealer and visiting the other MINIs.

As of now, the wait almost seems unbearable,... (I, too, am obsessed, addicted, etc...) However, I must reassure myself in knowning that I will survive the next few months (especially Xmas) and with the help of all the kind and wonderful people on mco, I will soon join the ranks of those who have gone before me and ventured down that hard and dangerous path to the promised land of extreme motoring!!!

 

Can I be an honorary member. I will be getting my MINI in mid-December, but my MINI trailer will not be ready until February?

And to further strengthen my argument that I should be allowed some sort of membership, I didn't find out about my MINI's arrival until about a month before it is to arrive at my dealer.

Please, Please, Please, let me join!

 

MINI trailer? Is that a trailer to put your MINI in/on, or are you gonna hitch it to your MINI? I haven't seen anything about a MINI trailer.....clue me in!

The owners lounge also had my production date as 1/11/02. Hey maybe this car has been waiting for me all this time and I just didn't know it!

Also noticed 2 things not showing up in my options listing. Antracite interior does not show up (even though I confirmed it with the dealer). The day after I confirmed my order I called to add the cold weather package and so far it hasn't shown up. Maybe it takes a while to update the info. Kind of like the IRS!

Curious when everyone ordered their car? I order it on 9-7-02. Order went in on 12-5-02 and we will see how close the production date is. No word on estimated delivery date though. Seems that steps one and two (and three?) are two months apart though. I'd like to see the differences in dealerships for times between deposit and order date.

Take that back. The cold weather package and anthracite interior is now listed along with everything else. Still says the production date is 1/11/02 though

 

I ordered yesterday, and my dealer said I will be recieving my production number on Monday :smile:

 

These "Can't Wait for..." clubs are the greatest! I'm sure that you have read posts from November, December and January, they can be quite helpful.

To assist you in your miniacness, I have assembled some handy links. You might want to book mark the address www.geocities.com/dsb106. You'll find some good links that I have gotten from here, and most importantly, there are complete directions for tracking your MINI from Oxford all the way to it's port, INCLUDING the ship while it is at sea! Others have used it besides myself and have found it quite usefull.

My estimated date is 02/01/03 ....less than 2 months and counting

We put $$ down on 10/19/02 and at the time were told that the order date wouldn't be till January and delivery in April - but, wife insisted on silk green and as that color (colour) is being discontinued we were able to get our order in on or about 11/25/02 with a guestimate delivery date in Feb '03.

I sent an email to MINIUSA on the '02 production date - they thanked me for the info and said they'd be looking into it. : )

 

Just curious - is there an "I just wet my pants because my MINI is at the dealer" club???

Hmm...Odd. I ordered Anthracite and it shows up. It appears everything is in order (pun intended) with my order. If I were you, I'd be calling my dealer everday until it is fixed. I shudder the thought that I'd have to wait another who production cycle just to get the car I want.
