I kinda wish my EDD would update, its still at 2/9, lol. The car is released to the trucking company as of now, not sure if its left yet though. If it has, I'll have my car tonight if I'm lucky. Its 7 hours from Jersey to Cleveland! If not, tomorrow or saturday. SICK OF WAITING!

 

yay, my MINI made it to the VPC yesterday as well. So 2 more days max till it gets to the dealer I'd guess. This means I should have a 2/27 pickup date, barring any other snafus!

 

Around noon today Ask MINI told me that it was at the VPC, a workorder had been printed and they even just started working on my car!!!

It just may happen this weekend, yet! :smile:

It may be a 2 call kind of day.

Good luck WACTUARY! I'd definately call ASKMINI again if I were you, and I plan to call them again shortly. They hinted that the VPC might be working a "little harder" to get some cars through that were scheduled for last week (and the week before).

My dealer indicated that she heard that some of the carriers were having trouble getting trucks in ('casue of the weather), so that might be a factor. I'm in KY, so I don't think I will get a car until late next week, though I'm crossing fingers (and everything else).

 

Ok, it's my turn to ask for a few 'prayers'. The big boss has issues with a project we've been working on and I may,...may.... have to stick around and help rework the data. If that's the case I may not be able to get to Houston to pick up my MINI tomorrow.

 

Hey SarcuxKSU -- on the truck! It's only a matter of time now, and very little time at that...

 

Before you all know it, you'll all be worried about people parking next to your MINI....

 

Called again around 5:30 (is two calls a day excessive???).

Finished with the VPC and released to the trucking company!!!! Not yet shipped out, but I'm hoping it gets to the Hamptons tomorrow, so I'll call them in the AM to see about picking it up over the weekend!

OK, add me to the SICK OF WAITING!!!! category. I called again today and Jen (she really is toooo nice, isn't she?) said the work order was drawn up on Monday and my car made it to the VPC yesterday, 2/19. This, of course, is slightly different from what I was told yesterday - that the car arrived at the VPC on Monday! Oh well, I am now resigned I won't get the car until sometime (early, I hope) next week. I just have to get it before Saturday (March 1). Here's hoping that some of the other 1/24ers will get to MOTOR this weekend!!! :smile: :smile:

Just talked to Lisa at ASKMINI. My car has finished (and passed) final inspection at the VPC. Released to trucking. So, I'm hoping now that I'll have a car to drive by the end of next week. So I may not have to join the March club.....

I'm starting to get excited, I haven't owned a car in 20+ years, have been driving trucks (mostly out of necessity). The last _car_ I owned was a '59 VW beetle. It was nice, but I'm expecting quite a difference (duh).

 

I just got a call from the dealer. My car is HERE!!!!!!!!
The OL still says En Route.
I cannot believe that the car got there on the EDD.

Yep, that's us. Long winded. Many of us may not make the popularity list in the Off-Topic forum, but we stick together and try to have as much fun as possible.

And it drags on further ... just got a call from MINI Peabody that my repainted body parts will not be in till Monday, so I might get be able to pick up the MCS till Tuesday! Still squeezing under the wire for February though.

Well, after DoNDoN's announcement, I thought I'd go to MiniUSA to see if there were any updates on my car and ... the site is down! I guess they figured the OL was so far behind, they had to take the whole thing down to do the updates - NOT!

I was SUPPOSED to get my car today - but somehow the truck is MIA, and BMW/MINI won't let my saleswoman know where it is. How lame is that? Now I have no way to get to the dealership, unless I start begging friends and family members for a ride (I dont' wanna drive up there and leave a car, y'know?). Just my luck. :evil:

 

So I will not be driving my new MCS till next week ... but I can at least enjoy this instead - was supposed to be a celebration; now just a little early :smile:
